NFL Week 3 ATS Predictions & Picks

Texans (+2½) vs Bears

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

The Texans are back on the road after losing a slugfest against the Broncos at Mile High. The Bears, meanwhile, are coming off their annual spanking in Green Bay. This is a total toss-up for NFL picks, but with this being Lovie Smith’s homecoming, look for the Texans to punch above their weight class and serve up the upset.

Picks: Texans win and cover +2½ (Ev)

Raiders vs Titans (+1)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX

Two underperforming teams looking for their first win. The Raiders blew a 14-point lead on the way to a 29-23 loss to the Cardinals in overtime. Whereas the Titans were absolutely eviscerated by the Bills 41-7 on MNF. The markets favor the Raiders, but can bettors really trust Derek Carr to deliver? Look for the Titans to atone for MNF behind a big performance from star RB Derrick Henry.

Picks: Titans to win and cover +1 (+105)

Chiefs (-6) vs Colts

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

If what we’ve seen from the Colts in the first two weeks is any indication of what’s to come, they’re in big trouble and not just in this game. Frankly, the Chiefs at -6 feels like stealing candy from the bookies.

Picks: Chiefs to win and cover -6 (-110)

Bills vs Dolphins (+6)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

The Dolphins were one of three teams to erase double-digit deficits in the fourth quarter and steal the epic win last weekend. But despite those heroics, they’re catching almost a touchdown at the sportsbook against the Bills, who are on fire right now. The Dolphins would need an otherworldly performance to beat the Bills. Believe it when we see it.

Picks: Bills win and cover -6 (-110)

Lions (+6) vs Vikings

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX

Will the real Vikings please stand up? After overwhelming the Packers in Week 1, the Vikings did a brilliant imitation of a deer in headlights in their 24-7 loss to Philly. The takeaway: Don’t drink the Minnesota Kool-Aid.

Picks: Lions win and cover +6 (-110)

Ravens vs Patriots (+3)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX

The Patriots don’t have the firepower of the Dolphins, who erased a 21-point deficit in the second half to beat the Ravens 42-38. But Belichick has the edge over John Harbaugh in this long-standing rivalry. Look for the Patriots to defy the NFL odds in their season home opener.

Picks: Patriots win and cover +3 (-120)

Bengals (-4½) vs Jets

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

Is it time to push the panic button on Cincy? Not quite yet. But lose this game and it’s a different story. The Bengals won’t be underestimating the Jets, who are coming off a stunning upset over the Browns and who – let’s not forget – stunned Cincinnati last season.

Picks: Bengals to win and cover -4½

Eagles vs Commanders (+7)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX

Everybody’s riding the Philly train following a 2-0 start with wins at the Lions and over the Vikings at home. Can the Eagles carry the momentum into the nation’s capital? The Commanders are 1-1 and playing pretty decent ball. Carson Wentz has yet to put together a complete game, but he is tied for the league lead with seven touchdowns. Keep in mind, this is going to be a revenge game for Wentz.

Picks: Commanders win and cover +7 (-120)

Saints vs Panthers (+3)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX

The pressure is on Baker Mayfield and the Panthers as they look at an 0-3 start if they lose to a Saints team that’s coming off a terrible loss to the Bucs. Neither side inspires confidence, so hedging bets might be a good NFL betting strategy here.

Picks: Saints win, Panthers cover +3 (-110)

Jaguars (+7) vs Chargers

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET, CBS

Justin Herbert’s status for this game is up in the air. The third-year offensive pivot suffered fractured rib cartilage on a hit in the Chargers’ 27-24 loss to the Chiefs in Thursday Night Football. Even with the injury, Herbert played on and managed to toss a last-gasp touchdown. Herbert will likely start, but if he’s not 100% fit, this game could be closer than the NFL odds would have it.

Picks: Chargers win, Jaguars cover +7 (-110)

Rams vs Cardinals +3½

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX

The Rams barely held off the Falcons to win 31-27. Kyler Murray went into video-game mode to lead his side to the comeback 29-23 overtime win over the Raiders. Widespread opinion believes the Rams are the better team, but the Cardinals have a score to settle after losing to the Rams in the playoffs.

Picks: Cardinals win and cover +3½ (-110)

Falcons (+1) vs Seahawks

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX

The Falcons fought hard in their first two games only to come up just short versus the Saints and Rams, respectively. The Seahawks, meanwhile, crashed back down to earth in a 20-10 loss to the Niners on the road. The Falcons are due a win.

Picks: Falcons to win and cover +1 (Ev)

Packers vs Buccaneers (-1)

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX

All eyes will be on this battle of the game’s greats, Aaron Rodgers vs. Tom Brady. The Packers spanked the Bears to improve to 1-1 while the Bucs moved to 2-0 with a win over the Saints. Both offenses aren’t firing at all cylinders yet, meaning neither has the advantage on that score. The advantage is with the Bucs defense, who’ve allowed just 6.5 points on average.

Pick: Buccaneers to win and cover -1 (-110)

49ers (-1) vs Broncos

Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET, NBC

With Russell Wilson and the Broncos offense looking undercooked after two weeks and the Niners’ offense lighting up with the return of Jimmy G last week, the balance tips in favor of the Niners.

Picks: Niners win and cover -1 (-120)

Cowboys vs Giants (-1)

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN

Are bettors really buying what the Cooper-Rush-led Cowboys are selling? The same question applies to the 2-0 Giants. Anyone buying? To be fair, this could go either way right now.

Picks: Giants win and cover -1 (-110)
