NFL Top Three NFC Underdogs for Week 15
There are three weeks left in the NFL regular season. There remains much to play for, so let’s take a look around the league for a few underdogs to pursue when making a bet online.
Three stick out Washington +5, Philadelphia +6, and New Orleans +3½. Let’s dive in.

Here is a look at the latest Super Bowl Odds
Seattle Seahawks vs Washington (+5)
The Washington Football Team is rolling, making NFL news as winners of four straight and in first place in the NFC East at 6-7. The streak can be attributed mostly to Washington’s defense, a unit ranked fourth-strongest in the NFL. Seattle is 9-4 and one of the NFC’s better teams, but it is not without its faults, specifically on the defensive end.
Washington listed as an underdog again is too good of a value to pass up. This team has top 10 offensive and defensive lines, and this league is won in the trenches.
Scorching hot and attempting to put the NFC East division race to bed, I like Washington to not only cover but win this game.
Philadelphia Eagles +6 vs Arizona Cardinals
Speaking of the NFC East, how about the Philadelphia Eagles taking down the 10-2 New Orleans Saints? Quarterback Jalen Hurts made his first NFL start and provided an immediate spark to what has been an anemic Eagles offense.
He rushed for over 100 yards, threw a touchdown and displayed poise in and out of the pocket. Hurts was named the starter for Week 15 and presumably the rest of the season.
The energy from the Eagles was just different with the quarterback change: Miles Sanders made plays, fellow rookie wide receiver Jalen Reagor got moving with the ball in space, and the defense forced two turnovers.
The Cardinals have Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins but have been consistently inconsistent as a team on a weekly basis. Their win this past weekend over the New York Giants snapped a three-game losing streak, and their defense has been susceptible to big plays and chunk yardage.
If Philadelphia can continue simplifying its offense and getting the ball to its playmakers, it should be able to cover this six-point spread. Since 2017, the Eagles are 12-4 in December under Doug Pederson.
Something about Pederson’s coaching style seemingly gets the most out of his players in the waning months of the year, and needing to win out to win the division, I’d expect this team to come out motivated.
Kansas City Chiefs vs New Orleans Saints +3½
Potentially a Super Bowl preview, the 12-1 Chiefs head down to New Orleans to take on the 10-3 Saints, who are fresh off their first loss since September. I lean towards taking New Orleans to cover on the back of its defense, ranked fifth-best in the NFL.
There is no denying the success the Chiefs have had, and this is the biggest of the NFL matchups of the weekend. There’s something to be said for an NFC power coming off a loss, fighting for a bye at home that appeals to me.
No matter who is at quarterback this weekend, Taysom Hill or Drew Brees, I think New Orleans will have opportunities against a vulnerable Kansas City defense to keep this game close.
Underdog Parlay
If the breakdown above has convinced you there is value in these underdogs, why not consider a parlay?
A three-team parlay of Washington +5, Philadelphia +6, New Orleans +3½ would pay out at +600 odds. Best of luck this weekend with your NFL betting, and enjoy regular-season football while we still have it.
