So, without too much preamble, let’s get cracking.

NFL Player Props: Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow, the No.1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, has surpassed all expectations by leading the Cincinnati Bengals to Super Bowl 56 in only his second season.

It’s not often that a sophomore campaign will underscore a player’s top draft credentials. But the fact that last season he played merely a handful of games, winning just two of those before suffering a season-ending knee injury that required surgery, makes what Burrow and the Bengals have accomplished that much more remarkable. So, it’s no wonder that bookmakers have dedicated an entire smorgasbord of betting online odds for Burrow.

Prop #1 Joe Burrow (CIN) Total Passing Touchdowns

  • 0 +450
  • 1 +225
  • 2 +175
  • 3 +350
  • 4+ +700

Through three playoff games, Joe Burrow’s stats aren’t going to blow anyone’s socks off. He has passed for 842 yards (280.7 yards per game) and thrown four touchdowns (1.33 per game) and two interceptions (0.667 per game).

Over the course of the season, Burrow threw 34 touchdowns in 16 games, an average of 2.12 touchdowns per game. To break those postseason numbers down, Burrow put up two touchdowns against the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs. In the Divisional Round at Tennessee, Burrow went without scoring any passing touchdowns. He also had two interceptions in Cincinnati’s stunning 24-21 win over the Chiefs.

During the regular season, only five games saw Burrow put up no more than one touchdown. In 11 games, Burrows had at least two or more touchdowns. Six of those saw Burrows pass for three or more and two saw him put up four touchdowns (his highest tally for the season).

This isn’t an easy NFL prop to predict. By the stats, betting on one or two touchdowns feels like a reasonable proposition. But if the Bengals are to have a chance of winning this game, Burrow will have to be at his best. So, three touchdowns might be a better selection.

Pick: Three TDs (+350)

  • Over 277½ Total Passing Yards -115
  • Under 277½ Total Passing Yards -115

NFL bettors can bet on the range of Burrow’s total passing yards, as discussed above. Alternatively, they can bet this over/under prop too. Seeing as Burrow averaged 280 yards in the regular season and slightly higher in the postseason, the Over bet is the selection here.

Pick: Over 277½ yards (-115)

Prop # 5 Joe Burrow (CIN) Total Pass Attempts

  • Over 36½ Pass Attempts -115
  • Under 36½ Pass Attempts -115
