Buccaneers vs Cowboys Prediction

Bookmakers have snubbed the Dallas Cowboys in sports betting markets for their season home opener, cornering their Week 1 Sunday Night Football clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers instead.

BetUS Sportsbook prices the Buccaneers as the -140 favorites on the moneyline while the Cowboys are tipped at +120. The point spread is set to 2½ while the total is projected to 50½ points.

Winning on the road in the first week of a brand new season is a big task, but the markets are high on the Buccaneers going into 2022. There’s also the fact that Tom Brady has never lost to the Dallas Cowboys in his decorated career, and he takes a 2-0 head-to-head edge against Dak Prescott into this game – a mark that includes last year’s season-opening 31-29 thriller in Tampa Bay.

There’s a lot to like about the Buccaneers, even though they bid adieu to several noteworthy players, including Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski. Brady has new weapons to target, such as Russell Gage, Julio Jones, and Kyle Rudolph. This is in addition to Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Leonard Fournette.

By comparison, the Cowboys’ offense might be looking a bit thin with Amari Cooper departing, Ezekiel Elliott coming off a modest season, and Michael Gallup set to miss several weeks with an injury. In other words, the weight of expectations will be on CeeDee Lamb and Dalton Schultz.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Buccaneers have the edge. New head coach Todd Bowles worked the D-line into a respectable unit over the last two seasons. They should give Prescott headaches and test him early.

Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -145

Parlay 2 Game Information

Broncos vs Seahawks Betting Prediction

Russell Wilson will lead the Denver Broncos into their Week 1 contest against his former team, the Seattle Seahawks, on Monday Night Football.

The Broncos are the runaway betting online favorites over the Seahawks for various reasons, but mostly because of their quarterback advantage. As it is, Wilson will be going up against his former backup Geno Smith in Week 1.

The Seahawks acquired Drew Lock via trade for Wilson, but they’ve settled on Smith because the veteran had most of the preseason snaps. Perhaps, maybe, coach Pete Carroll also felt it was only right and fair that he gets the chance after years of sitting in Wilson’s shadow.

The Broncos are expected to be a playoff team, thanks to Wilson’s arrival. They’ve built a solid roster around the Super Bowl-winning quarterback, furnishing the offense with plenty of playmakers to help him move it.

It will be strange for Wilson to face his old team, but who better than him to dissect the defense? On the flip side, the forecast for Denver’s defense is positive, and we’re likely to see them in their element against Smith, who’s easily rattled under pressure.

This is going to be a must-win game for Wilson and the Broncos if only to underscore their favorable NFL betting outlook.

Pick: Denver Broncos -260

Two-Team Parlay

As highlighted above, we’re combining the Bucs and Broncos in a two-team primetime parlay for Week 1. Betting $10 will yield a payout of $23.74 as per the Odds Calculator – BetUS Sportsbook & Casino,

Parlay: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -140 and Denver Broncos at -260
