TNF Chargers vs Chiefs Prop Bets

  • De’Andre Carter Anytime Touchdown Scorer +240

With Keenan Allen ruled out of this pivotal TNF game, the All-Pro wide receiver’s supporting cast will be relied on to step up in Week 2. In Allen’s absence, De’Andre Carter leaps off the page. He had a good showing in the Chargers’ 24-19 win over the Raiders, going for 64 yards on three receptions and one touchdown.

Pick: Carter Anytime TD (+240)

  • Mike Williams Anytime Touchdown Scorer +130

Mike Williams didn’t have a stellar showing in the Los Angeles Chargers’ season debut against the Raiders, going for 10 yards on two receptions. This is a game that could give Williams an opportunity to shine and contribute to the bottom line. Certainly, the bookmakers think so as his betting online odds are better than Carter’s odds as the go-to option on this offense for Herbert.

Pick: Williams Anytime TD (+130)

  • Travis Kelce Anytime Touchdown Scorer -150

Travis Kelce is Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target and now without Tyreek Hill in the lineup, Mahomes will be relying on his tight end more than before. Then again, Mahomes did find plenty of targets in Week 1

Kelce did get the lion’s share of the workload with eight catches for 121 yards and a touchdown, but Clyde-Edwards Helaire put up two touchdowns on three receptions and 32 yards while Mercole Hardman had three receptions and 16 yards with a touchdown.

Kelce is odds-on to score anytime at -150 with BetUS sportsbook, but it’s a bet worth the tickle for NFL picks considering how much Mahomes relies on him. (For those bold bettors, Kelce to score the first touchdown at +550 is another option to consider. However, it’s worth remembering that with better odds. the risk is higher and the probability of winning is lower).

Pick: Travis Kelce (-150)

  • Juju Smith-Schuster Anytime Touchdown Scorer +120

Mahomes turned to Juju Smith-Schuster almost as often as he did Kelce in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 44-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Smith-Schuster had six receptions for 79 yards, which put him second behind Kelce in production. The former Pittsburgh Steelers’ wideout is looking for his first touchdown as a Chiefs’ player. This could be the game that gets him on the board.

Pick: Juju Smith-Schuster (+120)

  • Justin Herbert Over 284½ passing yards -115

In two seasons in the league, Herbert has put up eye-watering stats that have convinced many that he’s the greatest of the NexGen quarterbacks in the game. His stats at Arrowhead are pretty impressive, too

Last week, Herbert came just shy of this line with 279 yards and three touchdowns in the Chargers’ 24-19 win over the Raiders. That said, Mahomes put up more than 300 yards in Week 1. If that is the benchmark, Herbert will potentially need to go over this number to keep pace with Mahomes.

Pick: Over 284½ (-115)

  • Justin Herbert Over 1 ½ TD Passes -240

Some quarterbacks litter the stats sheet with garbage yards that make them look good but don’t always impact the outcome of the game. Herbert isn’t like that. His dizzying passing yards are meaningful and generally create scoring opportunities.

Pick Justin Herbert Over 1½ (-240)

  • Patrick Mahomes Over 294½ passing yards -115

Mahomes tossed for 360 yards and five touchdowns in his first game of the season, So much for the absence of Tyreek Hill hurting Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense. Mahomes was in top form and he should be again with Herbert giving him a run for his money, showcasing his arm talent in a duel of two of the games most potent quarterbacks.

Pick: Patrick Mahomes Over 294½ ( -115)
