3 Best NFL Week 10 Predictions in AFC West
1. Back the Broncos as Big Underdogs Against KC
This is deja vu for Broncos backers. Denver was a nine-point underdog against Baltimore and lost by 31 points. It’s the worst loss for the Broncos in a solid season. But against the Chiefs, we’re betting online on Denver to cover. The spread is out of control and is a knee-jerk reaction to what happened last week. This is a different matchup and one that favors Denver.
For one, the Chiefs do not have the same high-powered offense Baltimore has. The Ravens overwhelm opponents. The Chiefs methodically beat their rivals even if they only sometimes cover the spread. Kansas City needed overtime to beat the Buccaneers as wide favorites. All but one of the Chiefs’ eight games were won by seven points or fewer.
Secondly, Denver plays Kansas City well. The Broncos are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last five meetings against KC. They are also 4-1 ATS in their last five road games. Even if the Chiefs have won nine out of the last 10 against the Broncos, this game will be much closer than the odds indicate. Bet Denver ATS.
2. Denver, Kansas City Stay Under the Total
The Broncos can cover via their prolific defense. Getting starched by Baltimore is not the end of the world. The Ravens even put up 452 yards on Kansas City, which also has an elite defense. You put their strong defenses together and the total should go under as it typically has when these teams meet.

The total has gone under in eight of Denver’s and Kansas City’s last 12 games. And in Denver’s case, it is only averaging 18.7 points in its last three games against the Chiefs. Denver is giving up the third-fewest points (17.9 per game) this season. Don’t be fooled by the NFL betting trend, where its last five games have gone over the total.
Baltimore ran up the score and before that, Denver dropped 28 and 33 points respectively against Carolina and New Orleans, two injury-plagued and tanking NFC South outfits. Three of these totals were also listed at 37 points or fewer. This one has more wiggle room at 41.5. So the best NFL pick today is to take the under.

3. Chargers Nullify Titans, Keep Score Under the Total
Speaking of a tough defense, Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers are atop the list. Los Angeles is allowing a measly 12.6 points per contest. No team has even hit the 20-point mark against Los Angeles. This is how the team is 5-3 despite averaging just shy of 20 points per game. And against the moribund Titans, this game should go under the total.

The total is already one of the lowest at only 38 points. But the Titans may have the worst offense, especially after dealing DeAndre Hopkins to Kansas City. Tennessee is scoring just 17.5 points per game. It managed just 20 points against New England, which it needed overtime for.
Defensively, the Titans are not as bad as its 27th-ranked scoring defense indicates. Tennessee gave up 52 to Detroit, 34 to Buffalo, and 30 to Green Bay. These teams have explosive offenses, which the Chargers do not have. Los Angeles will beat Tennessee via its run-heavy grinding approach. A total under 38 is our NFL prediction.
