It will be tough to outdo Week 9, which was filled with upsets, including Jacksonville shutting down Buffalo as a +650 underdog. But we’ve got our eyes on a few dogs here, namely from the West, the time zone of the best teams. Their NFL betting odds are not astronomical, but one of these teams should be able to cash at plus-money based on their matchup.
NFL Week 10: West is Best?
Second Runner-Up: Seattle Seahawks (3-5) at Green Bay Packers (7-2)
When: Sunday 4:25 p.m. ET)
Moneyline: Seahawks +155
Our first contender could come alive this week with the return of their star quarterback: Russell Wilson (finger). Seattle has lost all but one of their last five games against the Packers, but this efficient offense has the second-best red-zone conversion rate (75%). And the Packers’ defense has the second-worst defense in the red zone.
Shane Waldron’s offense can be feast or famine and we’re banking on it to be the former if Wilson is 100%. But that’s exactly why we’re abstaining from making this our bet online: the uncertainty of Wilson combined with the Seahawks’ inability to beat Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau (0-5).
First Runner-Up: Los Angeles Rams (7-2) at San Francisco 49ers (3-5)
When: Monday (8:15 p.m. ET)
Totals: San Francisco 49ers +170
The San Francisco 49ers have one win in their last six games and are winless (0-4) against teams with a winning record. Heck, they are winless against their division (0-3) and are once again seeing injuries pile up. The dream of returning to the Super Bowl is nearly dead and gone. So why will they beat the great Rams?
For one, the Kyle Shanahan-led Niners are 5-3 against Sean McVay’s Rams. San Francisco’s defense has underperformed but is still just allowing 5.34 yards per play. It can stall the Rams and give the offense enough leeway to pull the upset. If the banged-up Jimmy Garoppolo (leg) continues to struggle, Shanahan may just throw in Trey Lance who could be the boost this team badly needs.
Former Browns’ WR Odell Beckham Jr is finalizing a deal with the Los Angeles Rams, per sources.

That the Rams are getting Odell Beckham Jr. is sexy news and will persuade the betting public to steam the line more. By game time, we could find the 49ers at a higher price. This came oh so close to being our sports bet this week, but we have a better team…
Upset of the Week: Kansas City Chiefs (5-4) at Las Vegas Raiders (5-3)
When: Sunday (8:20 p.m. ET)
Moneyline: Las Vegas Raiders +120
Ten weeks into the NFL season, and we still have the Chiefs as a favorite over another winning team as a road team. The Chiefs are 2-2 on the road and the Browns are the only winning team they have beaten (not counting the Rodgers-less Packers).
The Raiders are coming off an upset loss against the Giants, but this team is “legit” at least with its offense. Derek Carr and the Raiders are putting up the second-most passing yards and the Chiefs are giving up so many big plays, they rank dead last in yards per play on defense.
Las Vegas already upset the Chiefs in the Allegiant Stadium last season and they match up well against them. This line should be closer towards the Raiders but recency bias has the public looking the other way. The Raiders are our NFL prediction to score an upset this week.
