This is not your uncle’s AFC North. It used to be a division where it was all about power running and iron-curtain defenses. While the Pittsburgh Steelers still have the latter, it’s become mostly a division of prolific scoring. The Cincinnati Bengals and even the Steelers have two of the NFL’s most explosive offenses. They feature for our AFC North Week 14 picks, which takes the ‘over’.

Bet These 3 Overs in the AFC North
1. Browns vs Steelers Over 44½
Russell Wilson is cooking with gas on Pittsburgh as he’s turned the typically conservative Steelers into an exciting offensive team. Since he’s started, Pittsburgh is averaging 28.7 points per game and the total has gone over in five of the six games. Something similar is happening in Cleveland, which is why we like this game to go over at just 44½ points.
Russell Wilson leads all qualified QBs in EPA per dropback on throws of 10+ air yards this season, per TruMedia.
The rest of his production on throws of 10+ air yards:
16.6 YPA (1st)
7 TDs
1 INT
135.4 passer rating (1st)

Say what you want about Jameis Winston. But he’s a gunslinger and has also breathed life into a moribund Browns offense. Cleveland had not hit the 20-point mark at any point this season until Winston played, which also led to a big upset over the Ravens. Four of Winston’s five starts with Cleveland have cashed the ‘over’.
The first Browns-Steelers match had a total of only 43 points. But the Browns also had three turnovers. With Winston, we can expect points and TOs. And as we saw in Denver, these turnovers can lead to more points. The NFL odds are a tad too low. Bet on the over.
Bet This Pick: Browns, Steelers Over 44½
2. Bengals vs Cowboys Over 49½
The Bengals’ season is likely over after dropping to 4-8 following another heartbreaking loss. Joe Burrow and the offense keep lighting up NFL scores to no avail. They are fifth in the NFL with 27.9 points per game and have scored 27+ points in seven of their last 10 games. We can’t back them given their awful defense. But is the total going over? This looks like a lock.
Cincinnati torched the Chargers and Steelers, two of the NFL’s best defenses. So it will likely drop 30+ on the hapless Cowboys. Dallas is giving up the third-most points at 28.3 per game. And while its passing defense is okay (relative to its rushing defense), it also can’t get stops in the red zone.
Dallas has given up a touchdown inside their 20 on 76.9% of attempts (30-of-39). All Burrow and Co. need to do is get the boys down to the red zone and it’s all but game over. On the flip side, Cincy’s defense is also “cheeks” as the slang goes. Cincinnati gives up as many points as Dallas. This game is going over the total. Bet online on it.
Bet This Pick: Bengals vs Cowboys Over 49½
3. Bengals Team Total Over 27½
Let’s double down on more scoring here but only on Cincinnati. Burrow and the rest of the offense are ticked off. When you’re putting up MVP-caliber stats and still losing, something is wrong. Ja’Marr Chase had some telling comments about the state of the defense. Cincy has to score every time they get the ball. Good thing it’s Dallas.

We already mentioned how bad Dallas’s defense is. Let’s dig deeper into how unstoppable the Bengals offense can be. They rank first in passing yards (288.3) and touchdowns (2.7). It doesn’t even matter that they lack a dependable running game. The Bengals also have the second-best red-zone touchdown rate (71.1%).
It’s hard to see how Dallas slows Cincinnati down. We’re not sure if the Bengals can cover the six points given their defensive woes. But scoring 28 should be in the bag. It’s an easy NFL expert pick today: bet Cincinnati to score over its total points this Monday.
Bet This Pick: Cincinnati Bengals Team Total Over 27½
