Jaguars vs Jets Betting Analysis
Everyone is jumping on the Jacksonville Jaguars hype train, and for good reason. The Jaguars won two in a row, including a win over America’s favorite team last Sunday that saw them close the gap to one game on the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South.
The Jaguars are 4-2-0 straight up in their last six games, a run of form that includes a 4-2-0 record against the spread and upsets in all four games (over the Las Vegas Raiders, Baltimore Ravens, Titans and Cowboys).
On the season, the Jaguars are 6-8-0 ATS with a 0.4 winning margin on average. On the road, they are 2-5-0 SU and ATS with a 2.1 losing margin on average.

By comparison, the Jets are in the midst of a three-game skid, which includes losses to the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. All those were one-score losses, however.
Wilson (No. 2 draft pick in 2021) is coming off a decent performance in the Jets’ 20-17 loss to the Lions on Sunday. He will get the start against the Jaguars as backup Mike White, who created a bit of a controversy after playing well in three starts, is still recovering from a rib injury.
The Jets are 8-6-0 ATS on the season with a 1.3 winning margin on average. They are 3-4-0 SU and ATS at home, also with a 1.3 winning margin on average, and they are 1-2-0 ATS over the last three games.
Jaguars vs Jets Same-Game Parlay Prediction
The Jets opened as the small 1-point home favorites, but early money on the Jaguars moved this line against the hosts. Current consensus betting online trends show the Jaguars are still getting the bulk of the money, and that could see them move into minus money closer to kickoff.

The reality, however, is that both these teams are in uncharted territory, facing a late-season playoff push. They’re young, inexperienced at this level and still very much in the development phase of their programs. That makes this a total toss-up, especially for NFL picks against the spread.
When the stakes are this high and the premium on the win so great, the edge tends to go to the defense. And that’s what we’re leaning toward here as far as the first leg of this same-game parlay.
Robert Saleh’s defense is pretty special. They just held Jared Goff and the potent Lions offense to 20 points in a narrow loss.
They will be tested in a similar fashion by Trevor Lawrence, who is in the scintillating form right now, proving all the praise and excitement that surrounded him going into the 2021 draft wasn’t unfounded.
But the sophomore’s inexperience will also be something the Jets D-unit will look to feast on. Fun fact: Lawrence has only won two games on the road over his two-year NFL career.
As far as the game’s score goes, the over 38 holds appeal despite the weather forecast calling for rain.
Lawrence has 13 touchdowns to his credit over the last five games, including a four-touchdown performance in the 40-34 win over the Cowboys. However, he also had an interception and a fumble on the day – two costly mistakes that Dallas didn’t make him pay for. The Jet’s defense might not be so generous.
Wilson also put up two touchdowns last Sunday’s game and one interception. He has six touchdowns and six interceptions in eight starts this season.
Considering the inexperience of both quarterbacks, their penchant for mistakes, and rivalry as the top two draft picks in 2021, this could be a fascinating, if error-filled, duel that will see the total crack 38 points.
