Two weeks of the NFL season have seen the Under dominate in total betting markets. How will Week 3 unfold? Will defense dominate again, or will the offenses finally settle into a rhythm and deliver a few more Overs this week?
Read on for our game previews and quick-fire NFL predictions below, which include the latest stats, injury reports, and NFL odds, capped off with choice NFL picks for your consideration.

NFL Week 3 O/U Predictions & Picks
Chiefs vs Colts – O/U 50½
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS
The Colts fired blanks in last week’s tragic 24-0 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Matt Ryan looked out of sorts, and the offense looked clueless. So, where do the Colts go from here? It’s anybody’s guess. There is no doubt that the Chiefs can put up points in a hurry, but if the Colts’ offense is MIA again, it’s hard to see this game cracking the lofty 50½ point total.

Bills vs Dolphins – O/U 52½
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS
If Week 2 is a harbinger of what’s to come when these AFC East rivals collide, then this should be the popcorn match of the week. Buffalo Bills are firing at all cylinders and averaging 36 ppg (1st in the league). The Dolphins recovered from a slow start in Week 2 to erase a 21-point deficit and clinch the 42-38 win over Baltimore, with Tua Tagovailoa enjoying a banner game as he tossed for 6 TDs and more than 400 yards.
- Pick: Over 52½ (-110)
Lions vs Vikings – O/U 52½
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX
The Lions look much improved this year with Jared Goff settling into his offense. After two games, the Lions are averaging 35.5 ppg (2nd in the league). The Vikings offense was in its element in Week 1 but sputtered badly in Week 2 behind a 24-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. This is a bit of a tossup for NFL picks, but with the Lions’ defense conceding 32.5 points per game, Kirk Cousins and the Vikings’ offense should have space to work with.
- Pick: Over 52½ (-110)
Eagles vs Commanders – O/U 47
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX
Carson Wentz leads the league with seven touchdowns in two games, and the Washington offense is averaging 27.5 ppg. At the same time, however, they’re conceding 29 ppg. The Commanders will be looking to bounce back after a Week 2 loss to the Lions on the road, but they’re at a considerable disadvantage as per the NFL odds in this NFC East tilt. Jalen Hurts has silenced his critics by leading the Eagles to a 2-0 start. Simply, he’s been playing lights out. The Eagles are scoring 31 ppg (tied for fourth) while the defense is conceding 21 ppg. Considering the firepower in both camps and the holes in their respective defenses, this game could crack the Over.
- Pick: Over 47 (-110)
Rams vs Cardinals – O/U 48½
Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX
Los Angeles Rams and Cardinals’ offense had its fair share of struggles through two weeks. It took time for each offense to get going, but they were at their best when they did. The defenses, however, have a long way to go after back-to-back unpolished games. This NFC West showdown will tell us more about both units in each camp.
- Pick: Over 48½ (-110)

Falcons vs Seahawks – O/U 42
Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX
Marcus Mariota and the Falcons’ offense have averaged 26.5 ppg, but the defense has let the side down, leaking 28.5 ppg. The Seahawks offense, by contrast, has gone scoreless and pointless through six of eight quarters played. This is a source of concern for Pete Carroll and the trend that is most likely underpinning the low total for this game. Given Seattle’s scoring woes, the Under does seem like a good bet. But contrast that with Atlanta’s Swiss cheese defense, and Seattle’s offense could find the endzone to put up some points.
- Pick: Over 42 (-110)
Cowboys vs Giants – O/U 39
Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN
This is one of those unpredictable rivalries where anything can happen. The Cowboys owned the Giants 9-1 in their last ten meetings, but things are stacking up differently now with Dak Prescott out due to injury (thumb).
Dallas Cowboys delivered a surprise win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 behind clutch play from quarterback Cooper Rush. The G-men are the surprise package in the division (and the league) after going 2-0 to start the season. By the stats, with the Giants scoring an average of 20 ppg and the Cowboys 11.5 ppg, the Under feels like the correct play here. However, given this is a high-stakes primetime game, don’t be surprised if it goes against the grain.
- Pick: Over 39 (-110)
