Raiders vs Titans (+1) – Tease Titans up to +7
The Las Vegas Raiders and the Titans are searching for their first wins of the season, but only one side will clinch the all-important DUB. The other is looking at an 0-3 hole. The question is which will be which?
As per the NFL odds, the Raiders are tipped as the nominal one-point road favorites. They’ve got the flashy roster with household names such as Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs, Chandler Jones and so on. But things aren’t quite going to plan for them, in what is new head coach Josh McDaniels’ first season in Las Vegas.
The Raiders lost to the Chargers 24-19 on the road, failing to even whiff at the closing +3½-point spread. Last week, the Raiders imploded against the Cardinals, allowing Kyler Murray to score two touchdowns and tie the game 23-23. In overtime, the Raiders dropped the ball, literally, and the Cardinals ran it back for the game-winning score.
The Titans were unlucky in Week 1 against the New York Giants. Ryan Tannehill set up his side for the game-winning field goal, but Randy Bullock missed the 47-yard game-winning attempt and the Titans took the disappointing loss at home. Had Bullock made the field goal, the Titans would be in a different position today. They’d be a bit bruised after Monday Night Football‘s spanking by the Bills, but optimistic behind a 1-1 record nevertheless. As it is, they’re 0-2 and in danger of going down 0-3, if the NFL betting markets were any indication..
#Titans RB @KingHenry_2 said he hasn’t been 0-2 since high school. Henry said it’s not a good feeling, but the sky isn’t falling.

This is an unpredictable game between two unpredictable teams right now that are under a lot of pressure. The team that handles it best will come through. And that team could be the Titans, who’ve been there and done that before, have the more experienced head coach and home advantage for this game. Teasing this line by six points gives us a bit of an insurance policy if things don’t go to plan for the hosts.
PICK: Titans +7
Cowboys (+1) vs Giants – Tease Cowboys up to +7
Backup Cooper Rush resurrected the Dallas Cowboys from the ashes following an inspired 20-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 – in a game that the Cowboys closed as the touchdown underdogs at home.
Few gave the Cowboys a chance against the Bengals. After Dak Prescott was ruled out for four to six weeks (at best) with a thumb injury, the markets re-evaluated (Read: wrote them off!) Dallas’ odds across the board.
From being the darlings of the NFC East and the team to beat in the division, they were pushed to the back of the queue. They also fell out of favor in the broader NFC betting online markets and Super Bowl LVII markets.
But Rush had other ideas, to put it mildly. He took advantage of the unexpected opportunity before him to showcase his wares and just like that, the Cowboys are 1-1 SU and back in it.
One win is a tiny sample size. Should Rush win against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, however, he might just spark a quarterback controversy and force bookmakers to re-assess Dallas’ odds again.
The New York Giants are the surprise package of the division, taking a perfect 2-0 SU record into this must-win divisional game. The Giants beat the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers to kick off the Brian Daboll era in fine style. But they’re yet to be truly tested.
The Cowboys will be their first real test. Dallas has the talent and playmakers that will make this a difficult matchup for the hosts. The Cowboys have also owned the Giants in nine of their last 10 meetings.

The Giants are tipped as the one-point home chalk, largely because of home advantage. However, the Cowboys come across as the value underdog play. And adding a six-point tease only gives us more wiggle room to work with, especially if this game goes either way.
PICK: Cowboys +7
