Over/Under Bet of the Week: Cowboys Get Wild vs Seahawks

Get ready to bet on the total play of the week. This Thursday, Nov. 30, the Dallas Cowboys host the Seattle Seahawks. And we can bank on Dallas to, once again, have a high-scoring game thanks to its powerhouse offense. The Cowboys have been on a roll and look unbeatable at home. And while Seattle has struggled, it needs to score just a few points to make this the best NFL over/under pick.

Cowboys Can Cover ‘Over’ By Themselves

The Cowboys may not be winning any Super Bowls, but this franchise has consistently been prolific as both an offense and a home team. Since last season, Dallas is 13-0 at home with quarterback Dak Prescott playing a full game. The two-time Pro Bowler has been unstoppable since the bye week.

Dallas has scored 40+ in three of its last five games and of course, the total all went over. The Cowboys went over the total by 10 points by themselves against the Giants. And against the Commanders, the Cowboys nearly covered the ‘over’ by themselves, scoring 45 of the game’s 55 points. Something similar could happen against Seattle.

Now, the Seahawks are not a losing team like the ones Dallas has beat up on. The Cowboys average just 16.5 points in its only two games against winning teams. But they were San Francisco and Philadelphia and Seattle is a step below these juggernauts. So it’s still safe to bet online on Dallas to put up heaps of points.

Seahawks Should Get Something Going

For the total to go over, Seattle can’t be held scoreless. The totals have gone back and forth with the Seahawks thanks to inconsistencies on both ends of the ball. On one end, the defense has allowed 30+ on three occasions. And on the other, the offense has been shut down and failed to hit the 20-point mark in three of the last four games.

Geno Smith has struggled at quarterback. His passer rating of 88.6 looks more like his pre-Seahawks version. That’s partly why Vegas’ NFL over/under is at 47 instead of closer to 50. Dallas could score 30+ and hold Seattle to 13 points or fewer to go ‘under’.

After all, the Seahawks’ sputtering offense meeting the Cowboys’ top-five defense is a recipe for more tribulations. Four of Seattle’s last five road games have also gone under their totals. Still, we’ll put faith in Seattle managing to score enough points.

Over/Under Betting Trend to Care About

The total has gone over in 75% of Dallas’s home games as a favorite since last season (9-3-0). For Seattle, the total has gone over in 53.9% of their games as a road team in this span (7-6-0).

Over/Under for Seahawks vs Cowboys Is …

The Cowboys have been highly profitable when playing at home and against a non-elite opponent. Dallas may not need to score 40+ here to win the game or push the total to go over. Instead, a realistic NFL prediction is for Dallas to score anywhere from 30 to 37 points while Seattle will make up for the difference.

Smith is not a star quarterback by any means. But he’s posted a passer rating in the 90s or better in five games this season, including three on the road. One came against Detroit where he threw for 300+ yards and a pair of touchdowns. Bet this matchup to go over the total with confidence.
