We have reached the penultimate week of the 2024 regular season. Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks will travel to Soldier Field to take on Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in an NFC showdown on Thursday Night Football. I’m here kicking off Week 16 with my best TNF prop bets.

2 Best TNF Prop Bets for Seahawks vs Bears

1. Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba to Score 1+ TDs (+170)

Mike Macdonald’s squad will be ready to go with their playoff hopes on the line. The Bears have struggled mightily and can’t be trusted to slow down this Seattle passing game.

Seahawks second-year receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the team’s leading receiver. He’s been tremendous and has quickly become Geno Smith’s top target. Running back Kenneth Walker III will likely be sidelined, so Seattle offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb will need production from this passing game on Thursday night. JSN has found the end zone sparingly (six touchdowns) but is in a good spot to find paydirt this week.

Bears corner Jaylon Johnson is a lockdown defender, but he will mainly play on the outside. Smith-Njigba travels around the formation, and he will avoid shadow coverage. He leads the team in snap percentage from the slot, so Smith will call his number often. JSN scored just once through the first eight games but has scored five times over the last seven.

Our NFL game predictions have him finding the end zone again on Thursday night.

Bet This Pick: Jaxon Smith-Njigba to Score 1+ TDs (+170)

2. Seahawks WR DK Metcalf over 66½ Receiving Yards (-106)

Some may not love my second NFL player prop today, but hear me out. DK Metcalf has taken a backseat to Smith-Njigba since injuring his knee in Week 7 but, like JSN, is in a great spot against this reeling Bears secondary.

DK Metcalf has failed to reach 60 yards in four of his last five but the Bears defense will afford him plenty of big play opportunities on Thursday night. Chicago’s defense has struggled tremendously to slow down opposing passing games. They are allowing the second-highest yards per attempt (7.9). During this span, Chicago ranks 30th in opponent success rate and EPA per play allowed.

Metcalf is notorious for creating big plays and the Bears defense ranks bottom five in receptions and yards allowed on deep passes. Last week, Jameson Williams torched this secondary on an 82-yard touchdown. DK could be the next receiver to replicate that type of success.
