Steelers vs Jets SNF Picks Week 7: Ride With Steelers Over Jets 10/20
- Read on to find my Jets vs Steelers picks.
- WR Davante Adams is expected to play this week for the Jets
- The Steelers are considering a quarterback change by potentially starting Russell Wilson.
- BetUS Sportsbook has all the latest NFL odds.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are 1-point home underdogs versus the New York Jets in the NFL lines for the Sunday Night Football matchup. The over-under is set at 39 points, the second-lowest total in Week 7. If that doesn’t tell you this is must-see TV on Sunday night, I don’t know what does. Let’s take a look at my NFL football predictions for this matchup.
We’ve got plenty of drama on both sides of this matchup. Let’s start with the Steelers, who have yet to name a starting quarterback, but it looks like Russell Wilson may get his first start over Justin Fields.
That’s right, Mr. Unliiiiiimited is back in prime time after weeks of wearing his full uniform despite being injured. Wilson was giving off the same vibes as those dudes that wear gold cleats to PGA tournaments as if they are going to get tapped in if Tiger Woods can’t go.

For the Jets, it looks like Aaron Rodgers took Davante Adams hostage based on that weird Pat McAfee interview. The Jets’ blockbuster trade that dominated NFL news this week almost made me forget that New York recently fired former head coach Robert Saleh.

SNF Picks: 2 Reasons Why Steelers Look Like Better Bet Than Jets
1. Are We Sure Either Team is Good? Sorry, Davante Adams
Candidly, I am not sure either of these teams are good. I do know we can count on the Steelers’ defense, which may be the best unit in this matchup. A good thing to keep in mind when you bet online.
The Jets feel like a team in chaos, trading for an overpriced receiver one week after firing their head coach. I don’t see this New York squad as a team that is going to make noise, even with Adams. There is also a strong possibility that Adams’ Pro Bowl days are behind him, making the Jets feel a bit like a Rolling Stones tour with former stars on the roster.
The difference is Mick Jagger is still playing at a high level, and I wish I could say the same about Rodgers and Co.
2. Jets vs Steelers Picks: Let Russ Cook and Take the Over
I could see Wilson having a strong Pittbsurgh debut. You may remember Wilson as the one receiving a lot of the blame last season for all of the Denver Broncos woes.
Bringing Russell Wilson back as the Steelers’ starter would be an unprecedented move by Mike Tomlin.
Fields would be the first QB in Super Bowl era to lead a team to a 4-2 record & not start their 7th game

Like I said, I trust Pittsburgh’s defense more than any unit. Look for the Steelers to pull off the mild upset in the NFL betting lines.
As for the total, this is an extremely low number. Whether it’s some splash plays for Adams or some magic from Wilson, there are too many variables that could happen not to take the over in NFL picks.
