Take Points with Dolphins vs Unbeaten Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a perfect 2-0, and NFL lines expect them to remain unbeaten against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday.
The sportsbook has the Jaguars at -275 to go 3-0, but the Dolphins come off an impressive win, so the +235 is attractive.
NFL regular-season action isn’t far away, so there isn’t much time for these teams to fine-tune their skills.

Dolphins Should Keep it Tight
We wouldn’t be surprised to see many NFL picks have the Dolphins winning this game, especially if their 28-3 win over Houston is anything to go by.
Sure, Houston is terrible, but the Dolphins have allowed just 22 points from two preseason games. They lost their opener to Atlanta 19-3, which wasn’t a good offensive showing, but scoring 28 points last week is a good sign.
Skylar Thompson threw three touchdowns, but it was Tua Tagovailoa who had a solid impact. He was intercepted on his first play, but his second drive resulted in a touchdown.
“It was just a bad play,” Tagovailoa said of the pick. “That’s really all it was, bad quarterback play there. That’s not how you want to start a drive anyway you look at it. Bad play, but I’m glad with the way we responded.”
The concussion-prone QB could see some game time against the Jaguars, which would help cover the +7 spread.
Miami is good enough to keep it close, and playing on the road isn’t a worry.
Jaguars Putting Up Points in Preseason
Vegas NFL lines are giving the Jaguars plenty of respect and rightfully so after two impressive road victories.
They defeated Dallas 28-23 before traveling to Detroit and winning 25-7, so things are clicking on both sides of the ball.
That’s something bettors don’t often see from the Jaguars, and although we’re talking preseason football, the signs are encouraging.
Sport betting markets have the points spread line at -7. Therefore, the Jags are rare touchdown favorites to win a football game.
We have been impressed with the offense, with C.J. Beathard going 12 of 20 for 138 yards last week against the Lions. Rookie Tank Bigsby rushing for 70 yards was also impressive, so as a team, things were clicking.
Beathard cemented his No. 2 quarterback role with the performance.
“I like the way C.J. operates, the way he thinks,” head coach Doug Pederson said. “He’s tough. You saw some of the athleticism.”
Having a player like Beathard for preseason games is a luxury, and he could open up the Dolphins’ defense, which has been tough to get through so far.
Dolphins vs Jaguars Head to Head
The Jaguars have a 6-5 advantage, and they won the most recent meeting 23-20 in 2021.
Prior to that, the Dolphins won 31-13 in Jacksonville, so that strengthens their chances of winning at TIAA Bank Field.
