Take Points With Lowly Panthers vs Packers

The Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers may have drastically different records at 6-8 and 2-12. Carolina has already been eliminated from postseason contention while the Packers are teetering on the outside of the playoffs and could be out very soon if things don’t shift soon. The Packers need some help and need to pick up wins, even though they’re currently just one game out of the logjam that is the battle for the final playoff spots in the NFC, which only adds to the betting intrigue of this matchup. NFL expert picks lean toward Green Bay.

Taking Over 37½ When Packers Travel to Face Panthers

Packers vs Panthers O/U Pick: Over 37

The Panthers offense isn’t one to tout often, but we’re not making any Super Bowl predictions about the Packers or their defense anytime soon either, especially on the road. There have been plenty of points allowed by Green Bay away from Lambeau as of late and I think we see this total clear the 37½ number, and Carolina’s offense show a bit of life against a struggling Packers side.

ATS Pick: Panthers +6 vs Packers

I’d much prefer to see this line at +7, and have no problem moving it up the point if you’re able to deal with the odds bump. The expert picks are likely to lean largely in favor of the Packers here, as they have more on the line, but that same statement stood true the past two games and Green Bay struggled mightily while dropping both games.

Moneyline Pick: Panthers +200

I’m not all-in on the Panthers here to win this game, but with +200 odds, there are far worse bets on the board. I won’t mark it down as a lean or a NFL betting prediction here, but I do think if you’re backing Carolina and like this spot for the Panthers, it’s hard not to at least put a bit behind the moneyline as well.

Game Prop Pick: First Scoring Play to Be Panthers FG (+320)

I love the odds here and think that Carolina’s defense and how well they’ve played of late is being overlooked. I’m not going to throw a ton behind the Panthers to score a touchdown to start the game, but getting them to put points on the board with a field goal before the Packers at +320 is a nice spot.

The over has hit in the last three road games for the Packers, and we could see some points here from both sides due to recent struggles from the Green Bay defense as well.
