Take Ravens to Cover while Betting the Over as They Play Host to the Colts In Week 3
The banged-up but still undefeated Baltimore Ravens, will be looking to move to 3-0 on Sunday when they play host to the 1-1 Indianapolis Colts. Baltimore, which is coming off a strong 27-24 divisional win last weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals, want more pop and they are ready to take it against a Colts team who will be missing rookie QB Anthony Richardson.
With Baltimore coming into the game as 8-point favorites against Indianapolis, what are some of our top NFL game predictions for this game?

The Ravens are here and they want the smoke
Do you have time to talk about the Baltimore Ravens as the biggest surprise this season thus far, and how they are quietly becoming NFL odds dark horses to make a run at Super Bowl LVIII? Between Lamar Jackson playing some of his best football, with his passing game showing ample improvement, and the rest of his team feeding off that energy, I’m starting to get sold on the idea of this Ravens team being legit contenders.
As they get ready to square off against a feisty Colts team, the time for the Ravens to show they are not just only the better team in this game, but in the AFC in general is here. The key here could end up being how the Ravens manage to protect Jackson, and how the defense can keep Colts starting QB for this game Gardner Minshew under siege.
Minshew is the kind of passer that comes up with schoolyard plays that manage to work. It’s his style. It’s disruptive, fun to watch but probably a pain to try and contain. Here is where Baltimore’s defense, which is known to be vicious when needed, will need to step up.
A win here could propel the Ravens into the conversation of top team in the AFC very quickly. With online betting fans already being sold on that idea, it’s Baltimore’s time to pony up and ball out.

Go with Ravens To Cover Spread in Close Game
Without Richardson, I’m not buying into any sort of narrative that sells the idea of the Colts stealing a win and pulling off the NFL betting odds upset in Baltimore on Sunday. I’m willing to go as far as to give them a strong chance of giving the Ravens a scare, but that’s it.
When Jackson is in his groove, there’s no stopping him. The way he has been passing the ball is something unseen from him in previous times. The man moves with ease in his pocket and always manages to find an open target, when he is not being pressured.
This Indianapolis front seven defense has shown to be vicious when needed, and against a QB that has shown to still be a work in progress when playing under pressure, that could lead to Indy keeping the score close here.
The Colts will keep the score tight for most of the game, with Minshew pulling off some of his redneck magic and the defense harassing Jackson constantly. But, take the Ravens to win this game, all while covering the spread at -8.
NFL Pick: Ravens -8 (-110)
Jackson vs Minshew? Be Smart and Bet the Over!
Even after having to start out its season without star RB Jonathan Taylor, who would look good in a Ravens uniform to fill in for J.K Dobbins if you ask me, and losing Richardson, I wouldn’t put it past Indy to put up a strong fight. I like this team, and I’m sure that other NFL betting lines fans feel the same way.
I don’t see them winning this game, because in all honesty, stopping Jackson and the Ravens seems close to impossible. But with that said, Minshew is the kind of passer that when having a good day could end up pushing his offense to give the Ravens a run for their money.
I see two things here. One being Jackson continuing to show why he’s the best QB in his division, and one of the best in the AFC. Lastly, betting on the over at -110 at our sportsbook is the way to go here with Baltimore winning at home and moving to 3-0.
NFL Pick: Over 44 (-110)
