These NFL Preseason Picks Are No Tease
The final week of the NFL Preseason is begun and ends on Thursday night with a full slate of games. Many teams will be resting their starters this week, but several will have internal competition for roster spots happening. Let’s take a look at a four-team 7 point teaser that I’m banking on this week. These are the NFL Preseason Picks.
Philadelphia Eagles +8 vs New York Jets

The Philadelphia Eagles are a surprising one-point underdog on Thursday night against the Jets. Factor in the seven-point teaser and the Eagles are getting 8 points at home to a Jets team that simply isn’t very good. The Eagles are 0-3 this preseason. They’ll want to close out the preseason with some momentum heading into their regular-season opener. The Jets are officially all-in on Sam Darnold after trading away Teddy Bridgewater to the Saints. The Eagles might wind up finishing the preseason with an 0-4 record, but they will not lose by more than a touchdown on Thursday night. Take the Eagles +8.0.
Atlanta Falcons +4.5 vs Miami Dolphins
A pair of 0-3 teams will meet up on Thursday night when the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins square off. The Falcons are getting 4.5 points after applying the teaser, and they are the clear favorites in this ballgame. The reserves from each team are expected to see a ton of action in this game, and the Falcons have way more NFL depth than the Dolphins. Atlanta will pick up their first preseason victory this week against Miami. Bet Atlanta +4.5 in this one.
Seattle Seahawks vs Las Vegas Raiders +9.5
This game feels like the Lock of the Week even before the 7 point teaser comes into play. The Oakland Raiders will be getting 9.5 points against a Seattle Seahawks team that has looked lost this preseason. The Seahawks defense is a shell of what it once was, and the Seahawks are no longer an intimidating team. The Raiders have looked sharp under Jon Gruden this preseason. This week should be no different. The Seahawks have lost their identity, and it has shown up in a big way this preseason. Bet the Oakland Raiders +9.5 in this game.
Chicago Bears +4.0 vs Buffalo Bills
The Chicago Bears will be playing their fifth preseason game after participating in the Hall of Fame Game earlier this preseason. The Buffalo Bills are 1-2 this preseason and look like a team that will struggle in the regular season. Rookie quarterback Josh Allen is expected to see extended playing time on Thursday night after struggling in last week’s loss. The Bears have two strong backup quarterbacks in Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray and their reserves have looked terrific this preseason. The Bears should be able to win this preseason game, but they will definitely cover the spread. Bet the Chicago Bears +4.0 in this game.
