We have two Thursday Night Football games remaining as the season is flying by. Week 16 kicks off with an NFC battle with playoff implications. Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints will travel to Los Angeles to take on Matthew Stafford and the Rams. We have the NFL betting lines covered.

The Rams are coming off a 28-20 win over the Washington Commanders, and the Saints have won two straight against the mediocre Carolina Panthers and New York Giants.

The Rams’ offense has been on fire over the last month, trailing only the San Francisco 49ers in offensive DVOA. The Saints rank 24th in defensive DVOA against the run this season, which bodes well for Rams running back Kyren Williams.

Both teams have a record of 7-7. The Saints are in a tie with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for first in the NFC South and are in the Wild-Card picture. Meanwhile, the Rams have won four of their last five overall and currently sit in the final Wild-Card spot in the NFC.

The winner of this game will certainly boost their chances of securing a playoff spot this season, so I expect this one to be entertaining. We have the best NFL bets today on our radar.

Injuries are rampant, and this game is no exception on a short week. At the time of writing, Saints wide receiver Chris Olave, who sat out last week, remains questionable after logging a limited practice on Tuesday.

The good news is we have plenty of info on every NFL team we can use with our NFL expert picks today. It’s unbelievable how quickly the NFL season flies by, so we must capitalize on every chance we have remaining.

Here is a look at the latest NFL betting lines on the total for Thursday Night Football. The current odds have the total at 46 points. In the second half of the season, the Saints offense has ranked bottom-five in neutral pace and the Rams have been league average.

The Saints have been under merchants. The under has cashed in 10 of their last 13 games on Thursday, 10 of 12 games on the road, 13 of their last 17 as an underdog, and 19 of 24 overall.

The NFL point spread has the Rams as 4½ -point favorites. The Rams have been a juggernaut in December under Sean McVay, covering the spread in 17 of their last 22 games in the month. McVay is also 5-2 against the spread on a short week in his coaching career.

The Saints have been terrible against the spread following a win, covering in 6 of 21 games over the last two seasons. The Saints have also failed to cover in their last six road games against the Rams. New Orleans has covered in four games the entire season.

As the conductor of the touchdown train, I’ve once again narrowed the best options for anytime touchdown scorers for you here on Thursday Night Football in Week 16. Let’s get to the best NFL bets today for the Los Angeles Rams vs. New Orleans Saints. Best of luck if you tail!

Rams vs Saints Best Anytime TD Scorer Bets

Tyler Higbee (+290)

There’s not a ton of value on this board. I don’t think this is a fair price, given that Tyler Higbee has scored two touchdowns all season. The matchup, however, is enticing enough for me to back him.

Matthew Stafford has been on fire over the last month, ranking ninth in passing yards and second in touchdowns. The Saints secondary remains without Marshon Lattimore, but it has performed exceptionally well in his absence.

New Orleans has allowed the sixth-fewest receptions and fifth-fewest yards to opposing wide receivers. They Saints have been excellent on the perimeter but have been closer to the league average against the slot.

With the Saints ability to slow receivers, they have been vulnerable over the middle of the field to tight ends in the red zone, tied with the second-most scores allowed to the position. Williams should find room to run, which sets up play action where Stafford can find his veteran tight end.

Kyren Williams 2+ TDs (+200)

The Saints offense is so difficult to trust so I’m opting to roll with another Ram. The Saints haven’t allowed a touchdown in two straight games, but that was against Bryce Young and Tommy DeVito. Now, they take on a red-hot Stafford, who ranks second in EPA/play over the last month.

I expect the Rams to move the ball on the Saints and have multiple red-zone opportunities. Williams is priced at -251 to score once, and the odds on other guys like Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua aren’t worth the risk in this matchup.

The Saints’ defense has allowed the second-most rushing yards per game and yards per carry since Week 6.

Williams is a volume monster and ranks fourth in total red-zone touches across the NFL. He leads all running backs in yards per game and success rate. He’s done this while playing in 10 of 14 games.

The Rams offense has produced more points in general when Williams has been in the lineup, averaging 27 points per game when he is in versus 14.25 points per game when he is out.

He has scored multiple touchdowns in 4 of 10 appearances. Sean McVay must think Williams is 2017-2018 Todd Gurley with the way he is utilizing him near the goal line. Trust the Rams breakout star in a must-win game at home.
