TNF Bills vs Dolphins Prop Bets: Play ‘Nay’ On Scoring, 9/12

The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins brandish two of the NFL’s most exciting offenses. But don’t expect plenty of scoring when they meet for Thursday Night Football. It’s a short week coupled with the potential for rainy weather. On top of that, we have injuries to key offensive stars like Josh Allen and De’Von Achane. Bet on the total to go under and play some of these best NFL prop bets for Week 2.

3 Props to Cash in on the Bills vs Dolphins Game

1. No Lead Larger Than 16

In what should resemble a rough and tumble game, we can’t see either team building a big lead here. Buffalo and Miami may also elect to run the ball frequently thus running out big chunks of time before one scores. We saw Jacksonville gash Miami for 128 rushing yards on only 26 carries. Hence, we saw a game with 667 total yards but only a total of 37 points.

You also have to look at how Buffalo and Miami have fared in recent games at the Miami Gardens. The Miami Dolphins won 21-19 in the 2022 season and Buffalo won 21-14 last season. Teams alternated scoring in back-and-forth games. They came down to the wire. Betting on neither team to lead by more than 16 points is one of the best NFL game prop betting plays.

Bet this NFL Prop Pick: Largest Lead (Either Team) O/U 16.5 – Under (16.5) (-143)

2. Don’t Count on More Than a Pair of TDs

This one might be a hot take. But bet against Miami and Buffalo to have fewer than three touchdowns. Even if it doesn’t rain, each team will struggle to find the end zone. In the last two meetings in Miami, only one team scored more than a pair of TDs in both games. And one of those came via a punt return. That’s hard to replicate.

Miami scored two TDs against Jacksonville. One was an incredible 80-yard TD reception from Tyreek Hill. While he’s known to do that, we’re betting against it here. The Bills’ defense woke up in the second half against Arizona. They allowed a pair of TDs in the first half but each drive went over seven minutes.

In the second half, Buffalo held Arizona to one field goal. And while the Bills scored three TDs in this span, we trust Miami’s improved defense to not fall apart like Arizona’s did. Bet on the “under” 2½ TDs for Buffalo and Miami.

Bet this NFL Prop Pick: MIA Total Touchdowns O/U 2.5 – Under (2.5) (+125)

Bet this NFL Prop Pick: BUF Total Touchdowns O/U 2.5 – Under (2.5) (-111)

3. A Scoreless Quarter Could Score Big

One of the best NFL game props this week is a scoreless quarter for Thursday Night Football. It seems unlikely given the firepower Buffalo and Miami possess. But it happened as recently as their last meeting. In fact, we had two scoreless quarters.

Josh Allen was picked off twice in the first quarter, which killed Buffalo’s drives. Miami needed more than six minutes to score the game’s first TD, which occurred in the second quarter. Buffalo answered back. In the third, it was an ugly showing from both offenses. Miami punted twice while Buffalo spent more than 12 minutes producing one fumble and a punt.

We’re getting triple our stake to bank on something like this to happen again. This is quite generous and we’ll gladly take up the sportsbook on the offer. Allen is known to turn the ball over and the potential for slippery weather could result in more turnovers. Bet on a scoreless quarter.

Bet this NFL Prop Pick: Will there Be a Scoreless Quarter – Yes (+311)
