The Jacksonville Jaguars are ready to take another crack at beating the Kansas City Chiefs after narrowly losing to them 27-20 in the AFC divisional round in 2022. The NFL odds at the time listed the Jaguars as sizable 8½-point underdogs and +345 on the moneyline.

The Chiefs suffered an unexpected loss in Week 1 after Patrick Mahomes allowed an untimely pick-six while his receivers dropped six catchable passes. But the Chiefs were without TE Travis Kelce and DE Chris Jones. Kelce is back just in time for the Chiefs to try and take down the Jaguars for the second time in two games.

Kelce to Make Up for Lost Time

My first recommendation regarding Week 2 NFL prop betting is to “bet the farm” on Travis Kelce to put on a clinic against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Looking back at last season, Kelce made one start against the Jaguars. He hauled in six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. While we’re reviewing 2022 splits, it should be noted that Kelce averaged 2.2 more yards per catch on the road than he did at home with six touchdowns away from Arrowhead.

Kelce also shined in 2022 when playing outside, with eight touchdowns in open-air stadiums against just one when playing in a dome.

If you haven’t guessed already, I’m gearing up for an NFL prop bet on Kelce to score a touchdown on Sunday against the Jaguars. And I’m not talking about scoring with Taylor Swift.

In 2022, Jacksonville was among the bottom 10 teams in defending tight ends. They gave up the fourth most yards and eighth most touchdowns to opposing TEs last year.
