While both defenses could be considered some of the best in the league, there is one clear favorite in NFL predictions. The Los Angeles Chargers look like a new team, getting better every week under first-year coach Jim Harbaugh. But the Tennessee Titans look far from good in their first year with head coach Brian Callahan in charge.
The Titans beat the New England Patriots last week in a battle between two of the league’s worst teams. They won 20-17 in overtime for their second win of the season and first at home.
On the other hand, the Chargers have slowly made a case for themselves as a playoff team, with NFL futures odds at -350 to make the postseason. They backed that up with a 27-10 win over the Cleveland Browns, who have completely collapsed.

2 Betting Picks for Titans vs Chargers
1. LA Defense Makes ATS Pick a Must
The Chargers’ last two wins have been impressive. They have used their defense to control the game and then have enough offense to finish off their opponents. That makes them a hard team to bet on in NFL player prop markets, but the Chargers find ways to win and have won big in back-to-back weeks, which is more important.
In Week 7, the Chargers beat the New Orleans Saints 26-8, covering a 7½-point spread. The Chargers allow the fewest points per game (12.6), and they held the Saints to just eight points but gave up 366 yards. A week ago, the Chargers’ defense again controlled the game, allowing just 10 points and 292 yards in dominating the Browns. The defense also forced three interceptions and had six sacks.
the Chargers are ranked 1st in scoring defense out of all 32 NFL teams this season. What a huge leap from recent years! 📈

However, while both defensive performances are impressive, some might argue that the Chargers faced bad teams. This season, the Saints and Browns have only two wins each. But that should not affect NFL picks for this game, considering the Titans have also only won two games.
It is up to the Chargers’ offense to score enough to cover the spread. They should be able to do that behind a solid running game with J.K. Dobbins along with Justin Herbert making big plays with his arm. Herbert threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns last week while Dobbins had 85 yards and two scores on 14 carries.

2. Bet Under in Low-Scoring Game
This game is going to be low-scoring. The biggest reason is that you should not put much faith in the Titans’ offense to get anything going against the Chargers.
The Titans are averaging 17.5 points per game, the sixth-fewest in the league. Sure, they switched quarterbacks from Will Levis to Mason Rudolph, but that does not mean much. The offense did look better last week with Rudolph in charge, but it is still not enough to change anything going against the Chargers.
Rudolph threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns but also had one interception. The Titans‘ passing success opened rushing lanes for Tony Pollard, who had 28 carries for 128 yards. But again, this Chargers defense is much better than a Patriots team with two wins.
In addition, Tennessee has a legitimate defense, per Titans vs Chargers stats. Tennessee is allowing the fewest yards per game this season at 269.1. However, the Titans still give up 26.6 points per game.

The Chargers’ offense is starting to improve. However, this team has only hit the over once all season. That was back in Week 6 when the Chargers allowed their most points in a win, which was 16. That’s why you should take the under in online betting.
Questions Of The Day
Is there a player-prop bet to pay attention to in this game?
The Chargers have been a running football team all season, so Dobbins should have a good game, scoring a touchdown, but maybe only with a few yards because of the Titans’ defense.
Is this too large of a spread for the Chargers?
It might be because of the Chargers offense, but they should still be able to win this game by two scores.
