Top 2 NFL RB Prop Picks for Week 10
Play: Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
Bijan Robinson has become the centerpiece of Atlanta’s offense, racking up consistent volume on the ground. In his last game, he dominated with 19 carries for 86 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry and showcasing his ability to move the chains. Over the past three games, Robinson has hit 20 or more touches each time, cementing his role as the workhorse back.
Facing the Saints in Week 10, Robinson is set up for another productive outing. According to Falcons vs Saints stats, the New Orleans run defense has been a liability, allowing 5.1 yards per carry — one of the worst marks in the league.
Even though the Saints attempted to shake things up with the firing of head coach Dennis Allen on Monday, tackling issues have been a season-long struggle that they’re unlikely to solve overnight.
With Robinson handling 75% of Atlanta’s snaps and seeing four red zone carries in his last game, he has the workload, the efficiency and the matchup to go well over his rushing yardage NFL prop in Week 10.
Fade: Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans
Next we are betting against Titans running Tony Pollard when Tennessee takes on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10. Tony Pollard led the Titans’ ground game, rushing 28 times for 128 yards (4.6 YPC) with a long run of 32 yards. He had an 8-yard touchdown called back on an offensive holding call. Pollard had seven red zone rush attempts and played 86% of the snaps despite missing weekly practice.
Julius Chestnut contributed five carries for 22 yards, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Tyjae Spears was inactive again. The coaching staff has talked about limiting Pollard, but Spears’ inactivity has put them in a tough position. That being said, if Spears returns with tough road matchups on the horizon, the time might be now to bet big against Pollard in NFL picks.
It’s not often you bet against a player who received 31 touches in the prior week. Typically, you want to get those guys on your betting card after that type of performance, but Pollard is an exception. First of all, he’s not in a high-powered offense like Cincinnati’s Chase Brown.
Quarterback Mason Rudolph and the Titans don’t exactly instill fear into the hearts of opponents. It’s worth noting that coach Brian Callahan explicitly stated that he wants to reduce Pollard’s workload moving forward.
With Tyjae Spears’ return on the horizon, that should be the case next week. The veteran Pollard also draws an atrocious matchup in the Chargers, who allow the second-fewest stats to opposing backfields per game. Fade Pollard in your online betting.
