Week 3 AFC West Props: Take Mahomes Rushing, Herbert Passing and Denver’s Over Total TDs

Over the weekend, all AFC West teams will be out and about trying to continue to score valuable wins. The Denver Broncos will travel to sunny Miami to play the Dolphins, the Kansas City Chiefs will play host to the Chicago Bears. The LA Chargers will try to steal a road win against the Minnesota Vikings, and the Las Vegas Raiders will look to go to 2-1 when they play the Pittsburgh Steelers at home.

So what are some of the best Week 3 AFC West prop bets to make bank? Let’s break this down faster than the Chargers letting a win slip through their fingers.

Just Like Last Week, Take the Over in Mahomes’ Rushing Yards

In last week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, I recall talking about how betting on Patrick Mahomes’ over in rushing yards was the way to go. Why? Because this is a man that can do everything. He can pass, he can run, he can fend off defenders. See, everything.

Now, once again, looking into some of the best NFL prop bets, especially in the Chiefs vs Bears game, betting on Mahomes’ over in rushing yards again seems like a steal.

Whether it’s with small runs to get the ball down field, or a scramble here and there to keep Chicago’s defense under check, take Mahomes to give the Bears a little bit of hell and put a couple of extra dollars into your sportsbook account.

Minnesota’s Secondary Poses No Threat to Herbert

If I had a million dollars, I would probably not be worrying about a job. But you know what else I would be doing? Betting all my money on Justin Herbert and the Chargers torching the Minnesota Vikings’ secondary on Sunday.

Even with an 0-2 record, with a chance to go to 0-3 if LA finds itself once again fumbling the win like last week, that shouldn’t stop Justin Herbert from going for another 300+ passing yard day on Sunday.

With Herbert’s mobility in his pocket, combined with the power his receivers bring, and how honestly lousy Minnesota’s secondary is, it’s a no-brainer to bet on Herbert passing for over 283.5 yards. If you’re one that loves simple NFL straight up picks, this is exactly up your alley.

Bet on Denver’s Offense To Show Some Life in Miami

I’m seriously starting to think that there’s something wrong with the water the Broncos drink before every game. In their first two games, the Broncos have played well, but have lost in dramatic fashion. Denver has begun to show some sort of competitive form. The problem is the Broncos keep losing.

As a matter of fact, in comparison to last season, the Broncos are playing like a completely different team, at least considering the offense. Denver’s offense finally looks like it has life running through it, which works out great for my last pick of the week, and probably my best NFL prop bet today.

Against Miami on Sunday, on the road, I don’t see this Broncos team running away with a victory. But I can see them scoring more than two touchdowns. If you take Denver’s last game into consideration, Denver put up 33 points against a defense much stronger than Miami’s, so going for at least 3 TDs today doesn’t seem so farfetched.
