Week 4 AFC West Props: Kelce Taylor-Made for Best Bet
Yes, we’re all well aware about the whole Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift budding love story. Is there anybody not aware of this by now? With the Kansas City Chiefs heading to MetLife Stadium to square off against Zach Wilson and the New York Jets for this week’s Sunday Night Football game, it seems as if all the AFC West spotlight is hovering over Kelce and Swift instead of the games going down this weekend.
But not to worry. I’m here to talk about some of the best Week 4 NFL predictions and prop bet opportunities for all AFC West games.
With the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders ready to throw down in SoFi Stadium, home of the Chargers, and the Denver Broncos visiting Soldier Field to play the Chicago Bears, which prop bets are the best to focus your NFL betting energy on?
Let’s do this.
jason: is the chiefs defense underrated?

Here’s a look at some NFL odds to consider.
Storybook Game for Kelce
Everything surrounding the Chiefs vs Jets SNF game spells two things. One, another scene in an upcoming romantic comedy about a certain football player and his megastar singer girlfriend. The other? The chance for Kelce, aka, that “certain football player” to ball out in front of his supposed gal and lead KC’s offense alongside his buddy Pat Mahomes.
Before the season started, all 2023 NFL predictions had this Chiefs vs Jets game pegged to be one of the hardest to call. Now that Aaron Rodgers is gone and the Jets are back to dwelling in misery with Wilson, the time for Mahomes, Kelce and the rest of KC to take the Big Apple by storm is here.
New York’s defense will have the hardest of times trying to contain Mahomes from reaching Kelce, and inevitably, passes will be landed and yard gains will be had. Covering a player of the magnitude of Kelce is already hard enough as it is. Now try to cover him while he’s playing in front of his girl, in one of the biggest sports cities in the world and on primetime TV.
Yeah, good luck with that Jets.
Bet Kelce to have at least 86 receiving yards as he has another strong outing on Sunday night. It’s such an easy pick to take that even a “Swiftie” would roll with it.
- NFL Pick: Kelce at least 76 receiving yards (-114)

Jets Secondary to Spoil Mahomes’ Perfect Night
The thing about the Mahomes/Kelce connection is that sometimes they need a little break to catch their breath, which leads to KC’s quarterback having to look for other receiver options to open the field. That is where Mahomes, an NFL consensus pick for league MVP, could end up falling victim to a New York defense looking to keep its boat afloat however they can.
Even with New York’s offense being the stuff of jokes and nightmares, the defense is still very good. While the Jets will have their hands full trying to contain Kelce, look for the secondary to jump at the chance to pick Mahomes at least once.
It’s not like Mahomes hasn’t been intercepted yet this season. It’s already happened twice and against teams with secondaries that are not as good as New York’s. So take Mahomes passing for over 0.5 picks because even in a KC win, nothing can always be perfect.
- NFL Pick: Mahomes Over 0.5 INTs (+106)
Herbert to Go for 300+ Passing yards against Raiders
It was only in LA’s week one loss against the Miami Dolphins where Chargers QB Justin Herbert didn’t pass for over 300 yards this season. Against the Tennessee Titans in week 2, he passed for 305 yards. And in week 3, Mahomes went to town against the Minnesota Vikings and passed for 405 yards.
On Sunday, as the Chargers face off against the Raiders and their middle-of-the-pack defense against the pass, Herbert could easily go for another 300-yard performance while trying to lead LA to its second consecutive win.
NFL picks and predictions experts all have the Chargers as clear favorites to win this game, and Herbert having yet another top-caliber performance. If that doesn’t tell you anything about why taking the former Oregon star to go for 300+ yards, then just trust me and get ready to collect on this pick.
