Edmonton Oilers Superstar To Duel Colorado Avalanche Great in Western Conference Final

The Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche will meet in the best-of-seven Western Conference Final playoff series on the journey to the Stanley Cup.

This sets up as the game within the game as two of the great young NHL superstars will do battle. The Oilers’ Connor McDavid and the Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon are arguably the best players in the game today.

MacKinnon: The center is 26 years old and somehow is in his ninth season. He came to Colorado as the first overall pick in 2013.

McDavid: The Oilers’ star is 25 years old. He was the first pick in the 2015 draft and is in his seventh season.

MacKinnon: The 6-0, 200-pounder is a right-handed shot.

McDavid: The 6-foot-1, 193-pounder is a left-handed shot.
