One game stands above the rest on Tuesday’s 10-game NHL schedule and that’s the contest between the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins. St. Louis is looking to hold off the Minnesota Wild in the Central Division and also win its 10th game in a row. Boston wants to catch the Tampa Bay Lightning for third place in the Atlantic. Both teams are really good so Tuesday’s game will be a great one.
Let’s check out the NHL betting lines for each game and preview them as we go:
Flyers vs Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs are comfortably set as the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Division; they could always use more of a cushion and should be able to get two points from the scuffling Philadelphia Flyers, who have lost five straight.
Toronto has won five of six and is a nightmare matchup for a team like Philadelphia, as a result, the Maple Leafs are home favorites. Toronto has notably struggled against some of the NHL’s worst teams but with how good the Maple Leafs have been lately, Toronto on the puckline is a safe pick.
Wild vs Canadiens
The Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues are locked in a tight battle for second place in the Central, so, Minnesota must take advantage of its Tuesday meeting with the lowly Montreal Canadiens. The Wild are one point behind the Blues with a game in hand so they control their own destiny concerning home ice advantage in the first round.
Minnesota has won four of five while Montreal has dropped five in a row. The Wild are sizable road favorites. The best bet is to go for the big value and parlay Minnesota on the puckline with the over. The Wild could put up a ton of goals.
Red Wings vs Lightning
Now that the Tampa Bay Lightning have fallen behind the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Atlantic, the Lightning will worry about staying in the Wild Card picture. Tampa Bay needs to take advantage of its game with the Detroit Red Wings, who have lost four of five and have scored one goal or less in three of those games.
The Lightning responded well after losing four consecutive games. They’re a huge home favorite and will blow by Detroit. If you’re betting online, consider taking the Lightning to win by three goals or more.
Jets vs Rangers
With the top spot in the Metropolitan Division well within reach, the New York Rangers look to win their sixth game in seven tries as they host the (essentially eliminated) Winnipeg Jets. New York is in a virtual tie with the Carolina Hurricanes and with Carolina having the night off, the Rangers can — at least temporarily — lead the division if they get at least a point from Winnipeg.
The Jets are essentially eliminated from Wild Card contention so, any play going forward is for pride. That’s a big reason New York is such a sizable home favorite. Igor Shesterkin is tough to beat anywhere but he’s especially tough at Madison Square Garden. Parlay the Rangers to win in regulation with the under.
Panthers vs Islanders
Officially eliminated from the playoffs, the New York Islanders can only play out the string of what turned into a surprisingly disappointing season. They’ll host the scorching-hot Florida Panthers on Tuesday with Florida looking for an 11th straight victory.
There isn’t a whole lot else for the Panthers to prove in the regular season but they’ll still play hard until they officially clinch the top spot in the East — which will happen soon. Florida is a big favorite at home or on the road, however, with Ilya Sorokin likely in net for New York, it won’t be as easy for the Panthers to score as usual. Consider taking a dart on the Islanders or, at least, go with the under.
Flames vs Predators
It’s unlikely that any team will catch the Calgary Flames in the Pacific. The Nashville Predators don’t have that same level of comfort but they are in a decent position with regards to the Wild Card. Still, the Predators need to keep racking up points to outpace the Vegas Golden Knights who won’t go away.
Nashville hasn’t been great recently and playing Calgary — which has won six of seven — will put the Predators to the test. Even though the Flames played yesterday (and beat up on the Chicago Blackhawks), they’re slightly favored tonight on the BetUS sportsbook with Dan Vladar probably in goal. That shows how balanced this Calgary team is and it’s why you should take the Flames to win in regulation.
Bruins vs Blues
This game is a rematch of the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals and it has the potential to be a great game. The St. Louis Blues are riding a nine-game winning streak while the Boston Bruins are coming off a much-needed 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins that snapped a three-game skid.
St. Louis is battling with the Wild for Central Division positioning and Boston, which was competing for the Atlantic Division crown for much of the season – they are stuck in the Wild Card a few points behind the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Blues are small home favorites and, if you want to ride the hot hand, take St. Louis straight-up, but don’t forget, Boston is still a good team, and getting the Bruins at plus-money is rare – siding with them as underdogs could be the better play,
Senators vs Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks are still five points out of either Wild Card slot but, with their 6-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Monday — Vancouver’s sixth straight overall — the Canucks have firmly established themselves in the mix with six games left. The Ottawa Senators also played last night, losing 4-2 to the Seattle Kraken.
With the winning streak at six, the #Canucks‘ playoff push keeps gaining steam, even as the injuries pile up.

Like every other game, they’ll play the rest of the season, this is a must-win for Vancouver against a bad Ottawa team. With both sides playing on no rest, the home team benefits. That’s why the Canucks are big favorites and should cover on the puckline.
Kings vs Ducks
After a brutal couple of weeks, the Los Angeles Kings are barely hanging onto a playoff spot as they sit in third place in the Pacific. They’re three points up on the Vegas Golden Knights and have to stay ahead of Vegas because they have fewer points than both of the current Wild Card teams.
Getting a win against the Anaheim Ducks, who have won three games since the beginning of March, is critical for Los Angeles which keeps playing .500 or so hockey. With that said, the Kings are the much better team in this one and are solidly favored on the road. Los Angeles is a decent bet to win in regulation.
Blue Jackets vs Sharks
Playoff dreams are dead for both the Columbus Blue Jackets and San Jose Sharks, but, San Jose doesn’t want to head into the offseason on a massive losing streak so the Sharks certainly have something to play for. They’ve lost 10 games in a row — three of the last four in overtime or a shootout — Columbus will be facing a desperate team on Tuesday night.
Interestingly, the Sharks are favored at home. While they will be fighting hard to snap their skid, that line seems generous to San Jose considering how dreadful the Sharks have been. Take Columbus straight-up with some value as the underdogs here.
