The Colorado Avalanche should be a solid online bet to finish their four-game road trip without a defeat when they visit the inconsistent Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night.
The Avalanche have won six of their last seven, including the first three on their East Coast trip. Colorado edged Philadelphia and Washington by a goal before rolling to a 7-4 triumph at reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida on Saturday.
The Lightning looked as though they were getting things together with three straight wins after their bye week, but they have dropped two straight. Tampa Bay blew a 3-0 lead in a 7-6 overtime loss at Columbus and coughed up two leads in Saturday’s 4-2 home defeat versus Dallas.
The Avalanche were not as healthy on Oct. 30 when they lost to the Lightning 5-2 at home, and are now a solid addition to your NHL picks. The Lightning have been a hard team to figure out this season, though. Tread lightly.

Top 3 Avalanche vs Lightning Betting Tips Nov 25
1. Hard to Pick Against Surging Colorado
The first four games are a distant memory for the Avalanche nowadays. Colorado baffled NHL odds fans by losing four in a row to open the season, but have won 12 of 17 since.
The best news for the Avalanche is they are almost whole again. Forwards Valeri Nichushkin and Jonathan Drouin are back in the lineup and contributed three of the seven goals on Saturday.
Per Avalanche vs Lightning stats, the biggest difference for Colorado may be on the defensive end where goalie Alexandar Georgiev has shaken off a slow start with five consecutive wins. Georgiev has allowed nine goals in his last four games.
Mikko Rantanen leads the way on the trip with seven points while leading scorer Nathan MacKinnon (35 points) has been held without a goal for six games. Colorado can explode at any time on offense and Tampa Bay’s defense has been shaky at times.
Panthers Had No Answer
• 7-3 in November
• Three game win streak
• Three games over .500
• Georgiev five straight wins
• Rantanen four point game
• Nichushkin three point game
• Makar + Drouin two points each

For NHL picks and parlays, take Colorado to win outright and with the NHL ATS picks.
Bet the Avalanche (-110) to win and +1 ½ (-250).
2. Why Bet Against The Lightning?
Tampa Bay is like a box of chocolates. Yes, you never know what you are going to get.
The Lightning have shown their championship pedigree at times this season, including wins over red-hot New Jersey and Winnipeg after their bye week. They showed grit to come back and beat Pittsburgh in OT last Tuesday as well.
However, the defense fell apart in Columbus. The Blue Jackets scored at will and got the game winner in overtime for a 7-6 victory. Tampa Bay still has defensive deficiencies that All-World goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy can’t hide.
Nikita Kucherov continues to put up points for the Lightning with 29 in 19 games while center Anthony Cirelli has scored in five consecutive games (six goals). Vasilevskiy’s numbers are solid (9-6-1, 2.13 goals-against, 915 save percentage), but his defense is not dependable when making NHL bet predictions.
Tampa Bay always has the tools for a big effort. But we think Colorado will make the Bolts pay for mistakes and cash your bets.
3. Offensive Show Makes Over Solid Bet
Both teams have made under bettors happy lately, but there is so much offensive talent on the ice this time around.
The under was 3-0-2 in five Colorado games before Saturday’s 11-goal barrage in Sunrise. The under was 5-0 in Lightning games until the last two, which included a push on Saturday.
MacKinnon is due and Cale Makar leads all defensemen in the league with 30 points for the Avalanche. Kucherov will want to rebound after being shut out on Saturday and is stuck on 11 goals. All three are solid NHL player prop bets.
Kucherov hasn’t scored a goal in 5 games, but he has 6 assists in that span. His last goal was 11/7 against PHI #GoBolts

Vasilevskiy and Georgiev could put up stop signs, but a 4-3 or 5-2 final looks possible. Take over 6 ½ goals (-115) in NHL expert picks.
