The Edmonton Oilers will look to keep their win streak alive and rise in the Pacific Division standings as they host another division foe, the struggling Las Vegas Golden Knights, on Tuesday. The Knights are first in the Pacific, but their lead is shrinking after losing their last two games and four of their last five. Edmonton, meanwhile, has won its last two and will look to make it three, with NHL odds favoring it at home.
Golden Knights Lose Late
Las Vegas continued its fall after it lost its second in a row, dropping in overtime following another disappointing offensive performance.
The Golden Knights’ offense has remained an issue in their recent struggles, scoring over their 3.05-goal average just twice in their last 10 games, both wins, to average two goals a game in that time, also getting shut out three times in that span.
Though Vegas’ defense held up in its latest loss, allowing two scores, it managed just one goal as it fell in overtime to Calgary, scoring early on a power-play goal but failing to do much else, including converting either of their other two power-play chances.
The Knights will once again look to their defense to lead, but with how their offense is playing, they’ll need to show improvement before being a reliable NHL pick once more.
Oilers Stay Hot
Edmonton picked up its second win in a row after another strong offensive performance against the Anaheim Ducks.
The Oilers haven’t been quite the high-scoring team they were a year ago, averaging 3.30 goals a game, but they have appeared to have found a bit more offensive flow recently, averaging 4.38 goals in their last eight games, including 6.5 in their last two.
Edmonton had its best offensive outing of the season against Anaheim, scoring eight goals and going 2-for-6 on the power play. Zach Hyman had another two-goal game, but Connor McDavid has gotten going lately, recording five points in the win.

The Oilers will hope to keep their offensive success going, but against a solid Vegas defense, bettors may want to see how they start before looking at some live betting odds.
Golden Knights vs Oilers Betting Lines
Golden Knights vs Oilers Betting Prediction
There used to be a time when a meeting between these two would be a must-watch. Though the matchup should still be a close one, with NHL odds tonight slightly favoring Edmonton, the Knights may have their work cut out for them to make it close.
The Oilers have been rolling lately with their offense, coming off their best performance so far, and while Vegas’ defense is typically strong, it’s also playing on its second night of a back-to-back. The Knights are likely to be tired after playing overtime, which should slow them down and make it tougher for them to stop Edmonton.
Vegas’ offense has also been lackluster lately, and the back-to-back certainly won’t help. They should have trouble keeping up with Edmonton to fall in their third straight.
