Bet Canucks, Oilers, Knights And Expect Offense in Denver

Six teams among the top 10 favorites in the NHL Vegas odds to win the Stanley Cup meet on a busy Saturday night schedule with plenty of parlay value.

The Dallas Stars (+1100) visit the favored Carolina Hurricanes (+1000) while the Colorado Avalanche (+850) host the underdog Toronto Maple Leafs (+1400). Later on, the Boston Bruins (+900) visit the favored Vancouver Canucks (+1200).

Betting the underdogs to win all three matchups would not be a bad way to win a parlay, but there are other possibilities. The Edmonton Oilers (+850), co-favorite with the Avalanche in the NHL future odds, are also a good pick against their rival Calgary Flames.

There are nine Saturday night games.

Pick Edmonton To Rebound: Oilers -1½ (+140)

Edmonton has cooled since its 16-game winning streak, but the Oilers should be focused after a disappointing home loss to Minnesota on Friday.

Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and the Oilers have won 9 of the last 10 meetings with their Alberta rivals, including a pair of wins this season. Edmonton is 17-7-2 at home and Calgary is just 13-12-4 on the road.

The Flames, who are three points out of a playoff spot after wins against Winnipeg and Boston, won’t be a pushover. But Edmonton should be sharper defensively after allowing 30 goals in its past seven games.

Take the Oilers for a big win.

Canucks Due To End Streak – Canucks ML (-110)

Vancouver comes home after an 0-3-0 road trip that extended its losing streak to a season-high four games.

The Canucks are better than this and should turn things around at home after allowing 22 goals during the losing streak. Vancouver still leads the Pacific Division by 10 points and shares the league lead with Boston at 80.

So, why do we think you should include the Canucks in your hockey bets today? Vancouver is 19-5-2 at home and is second in the league in scoring. The Canucks are also seventh in goals-against, so expect them to tighten up defensively.

But most of all, the Bruins have to be tired physically and mentally after four straight games that went past regulation (2-0-2). Expect them to drop this one.

Odds With Vegas In This One – Vegas ML (-105)

Yes, the Vegas Golden Knights have plenty of injury issues and are a mediocre 13-10-4 on the road. They have also lost four of five.

But they are the defending Stanley Cup champions, getting 1½ goals at Ottawa – last in the Atlantic Division. We expect the Golden Knights to wake up if you bet online.

The Senators are 6-2-1 in their last nine games after a 4-1 victory over Dallas on Thursday. But they are 28th in scoring defense.

Take the champs.

Expect Shootout: Leafs-Avalanche Over 6½ (-140)

Colorado fell behind 3-0 at Toronto on Jan. 13 before scoring the game’s final five goals to make over bettors happy at the sportsbook.

Toronto’s Auston Matthews is on a tear with 10 of his league-leading 52 goals in the last five games while Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon is second in the NHL with 93 points. They are not the only weapons for the offenses.

It can always tighten up with high-caliber teams battling, but the over is 30-24-2 in Maple Leafs’ games and 34-22-2 when Colorado is on the ice. Take the over.
