Bet Panthers, Avalanche, Wings, Flyers To Win Parlay

With a few games left in the regular season, it’s probably the best bet to keep your NHL picks today among matchups where teams have real incentive.

Tuesday’s schedule affords you plenty of opportunities with teams in dire need of wins and points to secure playoff spots, or a higher position. The most important involve four teams battling for two open postseason positions in the Eastern Conference.

The Detroit Red Wings host the Washington Capitals in the biggest matchup of the night. The Red Wings are 2-1-1 in their last four and own a one-point lead on Washington for the second wild card. The Caps are 0-4-2 in their last six and look like they are fading away.

The New York Islanders have a one-point lead on the Pittsburgh Penguins and two on Washington and the Philadelphia Flyers for third place in the Metropolitan Division. The Islanders host the first-place New York Rangers, who aim to hold on to the top seed in the East,

The biggest call may be the confidence we have in coach John Tortorella to get one more ounce out of his Flyers. Philadelphia is 0-5-2 in its last seven overall, but was 17-10-5 in the first 32 on the road this season and will be the pick at Montreal.

Start Your Parlay In Florida: Panthers -1½

The Florida Panthers have pretty much lost all chance to win the Atlantic Division after going 3-7-2 in their last 12 games.

One of those wins was a 6-0 thrashing of the Ottawa Senators on the road. Expect the Panthers to provide a similar result at home. Florida has won eight of the last nine versus the Senators, who are 14th out of 16 teams in the Eastern Conference.

Sam Reinhart has three of his 53 goals for the Panthers against Ottawa, which is 14-21-2 on the road this season if you are betting online.

Expect More From Philly: Flyers -1½

The Flyers are in disarray and suffered a 4-1 defeat at Montreal on March 28.

This can’t be the way this surprising season ends for Philadelphia, though. The Flyers were in the top three most of the season in the Metropolitan Division, but have allowed 33 goals in the past seven games.

Philadelphia has four games left to give itself a chance and this could be its last stand on Tuesday. The Flyers are the chasers now, will put everything into this one and should be part of your sport bets.

Fly With The Wings: Red Wings ML -145

Yes, this could be the last stand for the Capitals, too. You may see their best effort.

But Detroit is just playing better hockey right now and have been a good team at home all season (22-12-5). The Red Wings showed some real fight the last four games, getting points against tough teams, and goalie Alex Lyon has found his game.

There have been 18 goals scored in two meetings this season, so the over might also be a good bet at the BetUS sportsbook. But we think the Red Wings are a solid play for your parlay tonight. Washington has just 10 goals in its last six games.

Bet Colorado To Rebound: Avalanche -1½

The Colorado Avalanche lost a big chance to win the Central Division with a 7=4 loss at home against Dallas on Sunday.

They won’t be too happy as the Minnesota Wild pay a visit on Tuesday. The Avalanche are still 29-8-1 at home despite going 1-2-1 in the last four at Ball Arena, and are +800 in the NHL Vegas odds to win the Stanley Cup – tied for lowest in the Western Conference with Edmonton.

Mikko Rantanen is day-to-day with an injury for Colorado, but the Avalanche have plenty of offense to take care of the inconsistent Wild.
