Bet The Over In Dallas, L.A. To Win Wednesday NHL Parlay

Two marquee matchups and a heated rivalry are among five NHL betting possibilities for your parlay on the Wednesday night schedule.

The New York Rangers, three points up on Carolina in the battle for the Metropolitan Division title, will try to put another nail in the coffin of their rival New Jersey Devils at Madison Square Garden. The Devils are six points out of a wild-card spot and likely a bet against.

The Toronto Maple Leafs own a six-point cushion for third place in the Atlantic Division and can increase that when the fourth-place Tampa Bay Lightning visit. Tampa Bay often responds after a tough loss such as Monday’s 4-2 setback versus Detroit, so it could have value on the moneyline.

The underdog Edmonton Oilers visit the Dallas Stars in a potential Western Conference final preview that could fill over bettors’ wallets. Dallas is third in the league in scoring and Edmonton fourth.

The Oilers are the +375 co-favorite with Colorado in the NHL conference odds to win the West and the Stars are +500.

Run With The Rangers -1½ (+135)

The New York Rangers are not taking their foot off the gas after clinching a playoff spot, winning 10 of their last 13 contests.

The Rangers are coming off one of those losses. Pittsburgh came to the Garden on Monday and left with a surprising 5-2 victory. The Rangers will want to respond to that, especially on the defensive end where they have allowed five goals in three of the last four games.

New Jersey has played itself out of legitimate contention for a playoff spot with losses to Buffalo (Friday) and Pittsburgh (Tuesday) in the last two games. The Devils may not have much emotion left for this one and are 0-3-0 versus the Rangers in 2023-24.

Expect Some Goals In Hollywood – Kraken, Kings Over 5½

We always want to top the number when it sits at 5½ at the sportsbook.

The Los Angeles Kings should come in revved up for a matchup against the visiting Seattle Kraken after losing three straight games – managing six goals. The Kings are fourth in the league in scoring defense, but expect them to open the game up a bit to get their offense going.

Seattle has scored four goals in three of its last four games and the Kraken should play free and easy after falling out of the Western Conference wild-card race. Seattle has won three of four, including a 4-2 victory at San Jose on Monday.

The under is 3-0 in the last three meetings, but we think that trend ends.

Offensive Showcase In Dallas – Oilers, Stars Over 6½

The teams average more than seven goals per game combined, so you would expect they would have the fans on the edge of their seats on Wednesday.

Edmonton scored 14 goals while winning three straight games before suffering a 3-2 overtime setback at St. Louis on Monday. Oilers center Connor McDavid is closing in on his fourth straight NHL scoring title after being well behind for much of the season.

Dallas has won seven in a row, averaging just over four goals per contest. The Stars boast seven players with at least 20 goals. Wyatt Johnston leads the way with 29 – three in the last three games.

Yes, Edmonton’s Stuart Skinner and Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger can keep teams down. But we think this game has a 5-4, 4-3 feel if you bet online.

Take Toronto On Home Ice – Maple Leafs (-125)

The Lightning might be a good pick if the value was better than its current +105 in the NHL odds on the moneyline.

Tampa Bay was 8-0-1 before giving up a late goal versus Detroit and losing in regulation for the first time since March 7. The Lightning had one goal overturned and registered 36 shots, but could not break through against the Red Wings.

The Maple Leafs have won three in a row after knocking off Florida 6-4 on Monday and are 6-1-0 in their last seven meetings with Tampa Bay. The Lightning should put up a fight, but fall short.
