The Carolina Hurricanes are a solid favorite in the NHL odds on Monday night as they attempt to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series against the visiting Washington Capitals.

The Hurricanes outshot Washington 22-12 and scored four goals in the final two periods Saturday for a 4-0 victory in Game 3. Carolina, which has allowed an NHL-low 15 goals in eight playoff games, is currently the second favorite to win the Stanley Cup in NHL futures (+375).

Under bettors have cashed in all three games during the series and are 5-1-1 in the games between the teams this season, so it’s hard to bet against it. • Leg 4: Ovechkin 4+ Shots On Goal (+127)

In this critical game, the Capitals will be looking for their shooter and we expect Alexander Ovechkin to be letting loose his legendary shot whenever possible.
