Chasing the Cup: Profitable NHL Parlay Picks for Pivotal Night

Five teams with low NHL playoff odds and the defending Stanley Cup champion will be in action on an important night during the final week of the regular season.

The Vegas Golden Knights have a chance to move up to third in the Pacific Division when they host the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday and that may be a good spot to start on your four-game parlay.

The Washington Capitals can clinch the final wild card in the Eastern Conference with a road victory versus the Philadelphia Flyers. The Detroit Red Wings get in with a win at the Montreal Canadiens and a Washington loss. The Flyers also have a chance with a win but need help.

The Capitals beat the Boston Bruins 2-0 on Monday. That gave the Bruins incentive for a big win at home against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday that would clinch the Atlantic Division title. They could be another anchor for a parlay.

The Carolina Hurricanes, who visit the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Florida Panthers are +700 as co-favorites in the odds to win the Stanley Cup. The Panthers host the Toronto Maple Leafs (+1400) in what will likely be a playoff preview but is probably one to stay away from.

Start With Wounded Bears: Bruins -1½ (+120)

Boston has a one-point lead on the Panthers for the top spot in the Atlantic and will want to rebound after being shut out for the first time since Feb. 10.

Two points for Boston would mean home ice in the first two rounds of the playoffs, starting with the Tampa Bay Lightning. No doubt coach Jim Montgomery’s crew will want to put up another division banner.

The Bruins have won four straight in the series, including a 6-2 win over the Senators at TD Garden on March 19. with a hat trick from David Pastrnak. Ottawa dropped a 4-0 decision at the New York Rangers on Monday.

Vegas Should Cash In: Golden Knights -1½ (-150)

Vegas is one point behind the Los Angeles Kings for third in the Pacific with two games left. The Kings have one.

The Golden Knights will likely want to take care of business against the Blackhawks, who own the second-least points in the league and are last in scoring. Vegas is 8-3-1 down the stretch and comes into the game off an impressive 4-3 overtime win over the Colorado Avalanche.

Chicago has won two of the last three meetings, including a 4-3 overtime win at Vegas on Oct. 27, but has lost four in a row overall with just five goals scored combined.

Vegas is the best bet at the BetUs sportsbook.

More Goals In Philly: Flyers, Capitals Over 5½ (-120)

Both teams have had plenty of nights where defense ruled, but this one looks like it can beat that low number of goals.

The Capitals will be coming in off an emotional win on Monday and the Flyers make their last stand after winning the past two games. Philadelphia is the favorite in the NHL’s latest lines, but anything could happen in this rivalry battle.

Washington needs one more big effort and the Flyers can give their home fans one more thrill while they watch the scoreboard for the Detroit-Montreal score. Expect a wide-open show.

Jets Are Flying Straight: Jets -1½ (+115)

The Winnipeg Jets have found their mojo again, winning six straight games after losing six in a row (0-5-1).

One point gives the Jets home ice against the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, so they definitely have incentive as they host the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday.

Winnipeg boasts back-to-back shutouts and the Kraken are 29th in the league in scoring. Seattle has lost three in a row while netting just one goal in each. The Kraken did win at Winnipeg 4-3 on March 5 but are playing out the string.
