Golden Knights vs Stars Game 6 Props/Live Betting Tips

Bet on Game 6 to Be Fast and Furious

A few days ago, the Dallas Stars appeared down and out. But now, the Stars have not only survived but have the Golden Knights on the ropes. With the action shifting to Dallas, the NHL lines favor the Stars to win their third straight game and force a Game 7. As the stakes increase, you can bet, using the NHL props, on Game 6 to be the most furious game of the series.

Hot Out of Gates

Not only are these teams taking it up a notch, they are two of the fastest-scoring teams in the NHL. Vegas scores the third-most first period goals as a road team (1.17). Dallas scores the seventh-most as a host (one). The Stars start fast and have scored four first-period goals in Dallas in this series. Both Game 3 and Game 4’s first periods were the highest-scoring.

The trend should continue even if Jake Oettinger is better in goal for Dallas. Jason Robertson stays hot for Dallas while Vegas has a slew of goal-scorers like William “Wild Bill” Karlsson ready to light the lamp. Bet online on the first period to produce the most goals.

Pick: Highest Scoring Period – 1st Period (+325)

‘Wild Bill’ Stays Wild

Whether Karlsson scores a goal, he’ll be aggressive. He’s had at least two shots on goal (SoG) in six of his last seven games. Playing as the third-line center and logging in around 17:40 minutes of ice time a game, Karlsson will make the most of his time.

He’s notorious as a boom-or-bust type of player. But Karlsson plays well in all three zones and sees ice time regardless of the situation. Being lined with 1½ SoG is modest given his abilities. Dallas gives up an average of 29 shots per game. Karlsson to produce at least two of these is a worthwhile NHL picks.

Pick: William Karlsson (VGS) Total Shots on Goal – Over 1½ SoG (-200)

Hintz Will Not Be Hindered

On Dallas’ side, Roope Hintz is due to finally find the back of the net. While Karlsson is shooting at a whopping 30%, Hintz has scored once in 17 shots. He was bound to regress following his NHL newsworthy 22.2 shooting percent in the two series prior to Vegas (10 goals on 44 shots).

But persistence is key. Hintz still plays on the top line and on the top power play unit. At some point, it’ll be Robertson taking a shot and Hintz jumping on the rebound. Regardless, it’s worth betting online that the Finnish forward snaps his four-game slump and scores.

Pick: Anytime Goalscorer – Roope Hintz +160

Live Betting Pick

It seems counter-intuitive to recommend betting on the total to under when we’re talking about these teams scoring. But the script for this game could be for both teams to do most of their damage in the first while the second and third period will be mitigating scoring chances.

These teams are evenly matched and four of the five games were decided by one goal (and in overtime). The first period may end in a 1-1 or 2-2 tie and the deciding goal may not come until the third or in overtime. Dallas has had the edge lately so it is worth picking. But from a live online gambling angle, keep an eye on the total.

Pick: Total – Under 5½ (-110)
