Vegas Seeks Third Win in Row

Kraken Hope to Spring Another Upset

The Vegas Golden Knights were in a good playoff position with a 28-16-3 overall record at the beginning of February. However, they spiraled downward, winning just eight of their last 21 contests.

Those who bet online know they’ll be a huge favorite against the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, but should bettors be wary? The Kraken were a huge underdog versus the Los Angeles Kings in their last game and cashed with NHL odds of +200 with an easy 6-1 win.

Golden Knights Planning Final Push

Vegas is hoping that their midseason slump doesn’t cause the team to miss the playoffs. The Golden Knights are currently ninth in the West, a point back of the Dallas Stars, who have three games in hand.

Vegas can’t afford to let any more games slip away – especially when matched up against a team that isn’t nearly as talented on paper.

The Golden Knights wound up holding onto Evgenii Dadonov at the trade deadline and if we’re talking about short-term results, that’s a good thing.

Dadonov was supposed to get traded to the Anaheim Ducks but instead had the deal voided due to a no-trade clause. He resumed playing for Vegas and had a goal and two assists in a recent win over the Nashville Predators.

The next game saw him score in overtime to help beat the Chicago Blackhawks. This two-game winning streak has been made possible by the play of Dadonov.

We’ll see if the Golden Knights can keep the momentum going with a very winnable game in front of them.

Kraken Want To End The Year On A High Note

The Seattle Kraken have looked a lot better after the trade deadline. The newly added organization was struggling most of the season, with the team just not having any chemistry in the early stages.

However, the trade deadline has helped them sort some things out and get a clearer picture for the future. They added Daniel Sprong and Victor Rask.

Sprong has scored in all three games in which he appeared for the Kraken while Rask scored a goal in the recent 6-1 thrashing over the Kings.

Goaltender Chris Driedger had positive things to say about the new additions, noting that the team now looks like a complete unit.

Seattle has some pep in their step these days, coming off a huge win as an underdog and overall, winning four of six. For a team that had just four wins in their previous 18 games, that’s huge.

Golden Knights vs Kraken Head-to-Head

This will be the third matchup between these two squads. The Golden Knights were the winners of both of the previous matchups, scoring four goals in each.

Golden Knights vs Kraken Betting Lines

Golden Knights vs Kraken Prediction

This isn’t setting up to be a defensive battle. Both the Golden Knights and the Kraken have been turning it up a notch on the offensive end of late.

That isn’t going to stop with heavy playoff implications on the line for Vegas and a beautiful upset opportunity for Seattle.

The total is currently set at six and the teams will head over that mark. After all, the over has cashed in seven of the Golden Knights’ last nine games overall.

The over also is 4-1-1 in the Krake’ns last six games when they come into the matchup as the underdog. Look for these streaks to continue with the over, so go with that for your NHL picks.

Pick: Over 6 goals (-115)
