Every team has played at least one game so far and just the Dallas Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning, Utah Hockey Club and Vegas Golden Knights won each of their games in regulation while five other teams have yet to record a point.
Florida winger Matthew Tkachuk and New Jersey defenseman Brett Pesce are among the players listed by the NHL injury report as being questionable for Monday’s games.

Top 3 Ways to Bet on Tonight’s NHL Games
1. Avalanche In Search of First Win
The Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers were expected to be two of the top contenders to represent the Western Conference in the Stanley Cup Finals. Colorado and Avalanche join the Nashville Predators as the only teams from the Western Conference yet to record a point.
That could change when the Avalanche welcome the winless New York Islanders to Denver on Monday night with our NHL betting odds pricing Colorado at -160 to win the game outright with +148 odds to cover the 1.5 puck line.
Offense has not been the issue for the Avalanche as Colorado has eight goals in the first two games. Stars Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar and Mikko Rantanen are tied for the team lead with four points each. However, Colorado has allowed 12 goals in losses to Vegas and Columbus.

The Islanders have only scored four goals in the first two games. The well-traveled Anthony Duclair, who is playing for his ninth different NHL franchise, is tied with defenseman Noah Dobson for the team lead with two points.
Colorado has won six of its last seven games against the Islanders. Three of those wins have been one-goal affairs.
Bet On Colorado to Top the New York Islanders (-160)
2. Lane Hutson Looks to Keep It Going
With San Jose forward Macklin Celebrini listed by the NHL injury report as being week-to-week, the Calder Trophy odds are showing plenty of movement. Among the players to keep an eye on is Montreal Canadiens defenseman Lane Hutson.
After having 30 goals and 97 points in 77 games in two seasons at Boston University, Hutson had two assists in two games last season after signing with the Canadiens. He has back-to-back games with two assists, as he has had a hand in four of Montreal’s last eight goals.

5- Lane Hutson (Via 1 in tonight’s 4-1 win vs OTT)

4- Tom Kurvers
4- Kjell Dahlin
4- Peter Popovic

Hutson and Montreal are the home underdogs according to BetUS NHL odds against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Veterans Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby have combined for seven assists in the first three games. However, Malkin has a plus/minus rating of -4 with Crosby at -1.
Quebec native Anthony Beauvillier leads the Penguins with two goals this season with both of them coming in a win over Detroit.
Bet on Lane Hutson to Record 1+ Points (+158)
3. NHL Parlay Bet to Consider on Monday
The New York Rangers can’t be very happy after outshooting the Utah Hockey Club and being +9 on faceoffs only to fall in overtime the last time out. The Rangers had to overcome a two-goal deficit just to get the game into overtime after rolling past Pittsburgh in the season opener. The three-legged parlay begins with the Rangers priced at -190 to beat the visiting Detroit Red Wings.
Colorado is too talented to keep on losing games and giving up goals. Go with the Avalanche to pick up win No. 1 with the Avalanche at -160 to win Monday’s game outright.
There were five goals scored in each of the last two meetings between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens and with a total at 6 for the showdown between the teams on Monday, go with the under.
Put these three NHL bet predictions together in a parlay bet for a potentially big win.
