3 NHL Expert Picks for Tonight’s Games
1. Take the Maple Leafs As Home Favorites
If the last few meetings are any indication, it could be a busy night at the office for the goaltenders in the matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Each of the last three games between the teams finished over the total with 18 goals scored in the two matchups between the teams last season.
Toronto will play another game without forward Auston Matthews. The Maple Leafs are 5-1-1 since Matthews has been sidelined with an upper-body injury. He went to Germany to meet with a specialist and the hope is that Matthews could return when Toronto faces Utah on Sunday.
“It’s not alarming,” Maple Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving told the media. “It’s something we have been discussing knowing that he’s going to get this week [off].”
Matthews had one of the nine goals that the Maple Leafs scored against the Golden Knights last season. Pontus Holmberg led the Maple Leafs with three points against Vegas in the 2023-24 season.
Among the returning players, defenseman Shea Theodore led the Golden Knights with five points against Toronto.
Toronto to pick up its ninth home win of the season is the best bet off the most appealing of Wednesday’s games.

2. Take Sharks-Stars to Go Over
U.S. hockey fans might want to check out the matchup between the Dallas Stars and the San Jose Sharks as both teams have domestic products playing key roles.
There are 16 players who have at least one goal and three of them are American-born players led by Jason Robertson with four.
On his first shift: Olen Zellweger shuts down Jason Robertson off the rush, starts the ensuing breakout, gets a shot on that possession, and scores a goal off the following faceoff.

Will Smith (two goals), Luke Kunin (three goals), Henry Thrun (six assists) are the most productive U.S.-born players for the Sharks. Keep that in mind when making NHL prop picks.
With plenty of fresh legs set to hit the ice, go with the game to land over the 6-goal total when making NHL picks.

3. Martin Necas Part of Big Parlay
Our parlay came through on Nov. 19 with Edmonton’s Connor McDavid, Florida’s Sam Reinhart and Adam Fox of the New York Rangers delivering, so let’s take a look at an option for a Nov. 20 NHL parlay.
Pavel Dorofeyev has at least four shots on goal in three of his last four games for the Vegas Golden Knights so take a look at the +100 odds for him to have 1+ points. Carolina’s Martin Necas has points in each of his last 13 games with 10 goals and 17 assists during that span.
30 points. 17 games. 13-game point streak.

The +171 sports betting odds for Necas to have his 10th multi-point game of the season when the Hurricanes face the Philadelphia Flyers look pretty enticing. Wrap up the parlay by taking Los Angeles rookie defenseman Brandt Clarke at +120 to have 1+ points.
