NHL Parlay: Bet These Great Black Friday Bargains

Happy Black Friday! While you’ve filled your belly with turkey and stuffing, it’s time to fill your pockets with profits. In a loaded NHL schedule, there are dozens of games to pick from. But several in the evening have “discounted” betting lines that will make for great parlay betting. Take these three and make them the best hockey bets for Nov. 24.

Sabres to Catch Penguins Off Guard

The Penguins and Sabres meet in Buffalo with the odds for the NHL trending toward Pittsburgh. That’s not surprising as Pittsburgh shut out Buffalo 4-0 in their last meeting and the Sabres are now without Tage Thompson, their best player.

But Pittsburgh is not without absences either. Wingers Rickard Rakell and Bryan Rust are on the injury report. And the team has a cluster of injuries on the backend. On top of that, the Penguins are old and on the first night of a back-to-back with the Maple Leafs on Saturday.

This has all the makings of a trap game for Pittsburgh. This team is also just 5-7 as a favorite and has bloated stats on the road because nearly 60% of its goals have come against San Jose and Columbus. Buffalo is much better at two-way hockey than last season. If it can get some decent goaltending, the Sabres are a golden bet online here.

NHL Pick: Buffalo Sabres (+105)

Flames Make the Stars Sweat

We’re going to keep riding the “circumstance” theme as we side with Calgary to, at least, cover its puck line in a visit to Dallas. On paper, the Stars should snuff out the Flames seeing as how we have the fifth-best overall team hosting the 26th team. Calgary is also just 4-6-2 on the road while Dallas is 6-3-0 in its last nine conference games.

But plenty of Calgary stars either want out of the team or will get traded. That’s extra motivation to play well, especially as the team continues to struggle. And if you look closely, the Flames are lacking in goal-scoring, but not for lack of effort.

The Flames still rank above average when it comes to creating scoring chances, outpossessing opponents and hustling. Calgary is a decent NHL pick to give Dallas a run for its money, especially when the hosts are just 2-7 on the puck line as favorites.

NHL Pick: Calgary Flames +1½ (-165)

Kraken Swallow up Canucks

The last, but perhaps best, value NHL prediction on the menu is the Kraken against the Canucks. Like the Sabres-Penguins game, this is a rematch from last week where Seattle edged Vancouver 4-3. But unlike the Buffalo-Pittsburgh game, we like for Seattle to do it again.

Vancouver is starting to cool off. This team has not scored more than three goals in four straight games and is just 1-3 in this span. Like Pittsburgh, the Canucks’ stats are bloated thanks to a few games where they exploded: three against Edmonton and a 10-goal rout of the historically bad San Jose. The Canucks have had an easy strength of schedule.

As for the Kraken, they had bad luck in scoring. The team is still generating above-average scoring chances while playing solid 5-on-5 hockey. But the goaltending and the shooting accuracy have been bad, hence the low PDO. This team is playing better than its stats indicate and the Canucks are not. So we’re betting online on Seattle.

NHL Pick: Seattle Kraken (-105)
