We’ll turn our attention to three Canadian-themed matchups in this packed NHL Tuesday night. Call it the “Spicy Maple” edition of our Toasty Totals, as all three games feature odds for NHL totals that should go well above their lines, with several teams on the second night of a back-to-back. Let’s bank on slack defending and prolific scoring.
Best NHL Totals to Parlay on Nov. 28
Winded Florida Could Get Lit Up By Toronto
The Florida Panthers enter Toronto on the second night of a back-to-back. And typically, this team gets put through the wringer in situations like this. Since last season, Florida has allowed four or more goals in nine of its last 13 games in this circumstance. But the Panthers can still get its offense going, hence why 11 of these 13 games have gone over the total.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a perfect dance partner, averaging 4.2 goals per home game on 32+ shots with a 30.7% power play (PP) percentage. Defensively, Toronto is giving up over 4.4 goals per game. That’s why seven of its nine home games have gone over.
Don’t overthink this one. A potentially weary Panthers team will allow goals against one of the NHL’s most potent offenses. And the Panthers will score enough to make this a solid NHL pick to go over 6½ goals.
NHL Pick: Panthers, Maple Leafs Over 6½ (-115)
“RoBo” Ready to Shine in Return to Winnipeg
Jason Robertson, a.k.a. “RoBo,” owns Winnipeg, his last visit to the city notwithstanding. The budding superstar has eight goals and 10 points in eight career games against the team. And he loves to play on the road this season: five of his six goals all came way from Dallas.
THE GOAL + CELLY = 🔥🔥🔥

We expect Robertson to score a goal and lead Dallas in a potential firefight against Winnipeg. Dallas tends to be a responsible two-way team. But five of its last six games have gone over the total, as this team has had some netminding issues.
That’s not a problem to have against the opportunistic Winnipeg Jets, who average 3.8 goals per home game despite a subpar PP (17.6%) and just over 30 shots on goal. Given the offensive talent on each side and the total being only at six, this may be one of the best NHL hockey bets today.
NHL Pick: Stars, Jets Over 6 (Ev)
Golden Knights May Be Easy Pickings for Oilers
The Vegas Golden Knights are known as a stingy team. They give up just under 2.4 goals a game, which is the second-best mark in the league. But this team will have no rest after facing Calgary last night. And on the second night of a back-to-back, Vegas’s defense slips: it has given up three or more goals in eight of their last 10 games under this situation.
On top of that, a less-than-ideal defense won’t do against Connor McDavid and the Oilers. After slumping to start the season, McDavid is back to his old ways: 15 points in his last seven games, with eight coming from the man advantage in the past two.
Edmonton is now averaging over 4.4 goals since the coaching change. The NHL lines should reflect a high-scoring game, as the Oilers are still allowing over 3.2 goals during this span. Even with a potentially winded Vegas, this game will produce a high total.
NHL Pick: Golden Knights, Oilers Over 6½ (-105)
