Oilers vs Avalanche Same Game Parlay Picks: Best ML, Total, Prop Bets
1. Colorado Avalanche ML (-120)
Colorado won the game, but they were outshot by the fading Rangers on Tuesday and coach Jared Bednar didn’t give them excuses after the game.
“Hey, we’ll take the points, but yeah. .. unimpressive,” Bednar told NHL news outlets. “Ultimately, it’s like we only had half the team paying. That’s it. Sums up everything.’

Will that energize the Avalanche or will the injuries continue to hamper them? Defenseman Samuel Girard is questionable with an upper-body injury while forwards Valeri Nichushkin and Miles Wood are not expected to play.
Colorado does have the league’s leading scorer in Nathan MacKinnon (70 points), Mikko Rantanen (61) and defenseman Cale Makar (50). The Avalanche are also more solid in goal since acquiring Mackenzie Blackwood (9-2-1, 938 save percentage).
2. Oilers vs Avalanche Under 6.5 (-115)
These two teams can score goals and have an abundance of superstars.
However, they both know that to reach their biggest goals, keeping the puck out of the net may be even more important. We expect this midseason showdown between two of the top eight teams in the odds to win the Stanley Cup to be a playoff-style battle.
Draisaitl (65 points) and Connor McDavid (62) lead the offense for Edmonton, but the Oilers are higher in the league in scoring defense (seventh) than offense (eighth). The Oilers also held back No. 1 goalie Stuart Skinner (6-1-1 last eight) with Calvin Pickard in net Wednesday.
Blackwood may have cured Colorado’s goalie woes. The former New Jersey Devil and San Jose Shark has not allowed more than two goals in a game since being acquired in mid-December.
Both teams allow just over 26 shots per game with often maligned defenses. There’s no doubt the potential is always there with these two teams for a shootout. This looks like a different game.
Bet Oilers vs Avalanche Under 6.5 (-115)
3. Nathan MacKinnon 1+ Goals (+120)
While Nathan MacKinnon, much like Connor McDavid, may be more of a point producer than a pure goal scorer, the Colorado star has just one goal in 10 games.
That is due to change. MacKinnon is fourth in the league in shots (170) and well down the list in goals (15). You expect the reigning Hart Trophy winner to step up in the spotlight on Thursday.
Nathan MacKinnon, who will represent Canada at the #4Nations Face-Off in February, collected two assist to become the first player to reach the 70-point mark this season (15-55—70 in 45 GP).#NHLStats: https://t.co/Reb8bCoTbc pic.twitter.com/BzzQjGr7XS

You get only +120 NHL player prop odds for MacKinnon to notch his 16th goal and +500 for a pair. McDavid’s odds are +140 for one and +650 to match Wednesday night’s effort against Minnesota. The Oilers’ star has scored 19 on the season.
Bet Nathan MacKinnon 1+ Goals (+120)
