Oilers vs Stars Prediction, Picks and NHL Playoff Odds, May 29: Bet Edmonton to End Series in Five

The Edmonton Oilers are a slight road underdog in our NHL odds as they go for the knockout blow in the Western Conference finals against the struggling Dallas Stars on Thursday.

The Oilers dropped Game 1 in Dallas before winning the last three in the best-of-seven series while allowing just two total goals. Edmonton scored a pair of power-play goals in a 4-1 triumph on Tuesday and owns +110 NHL futures odds to win the Stanley Cup.

Dallas had five goals in the third period of Game 1 and just three total in the other 11. Jason Robertson has scored in each of the last two games for the Stars, but Mikko Rantanen is long overdue to post a goal for Dallas and cash one of your NHL prop bets today.

Oilers vs Stars Prediction Today, May 29

Oilers 3, Stars 1

Edmonton has seemed to find the formula to stop Dallas, even though the Stars are getting shots on goal. The Oilers won’t have injured forwards Zach Hyman and Connor Brown, but they have shown the depth to finish the job in five games.

Oilers vs Stars Best NHL Player Props Today

  • Leon Draisaitl Anytime Goal (+120)

The big German has two goals and seven points in the series after scoring a power-play tally on Tuesday and should continue to get opportunities with Dallas pressing for offense. Draisaitl led the league in goals (52) during regular-season NHL games and boasts seven in the playoffs. Expect the eighth on Thursday.

Bet on Leon Draisaitl to Score 1+ Goals (+120)

  • Tyler Seguin 1+ Points (+112)

The veteran forward has been one of the most active players offensively for the Stars in this series. Seguin is tied with Robertson and Mason Marchment for the team lead with 11 shots and had a pair of goals in Game 1. Check late NHL news or any lineup changes and injury updates, but we are bullish on the 33-year-old in the elimination game.

Bet on Tyler Seguin 1+ Points (+112)

  • Evan Bouchard 1+ Assists (-114)

The talented defenseman has been a key to the Oilers’ success in the last three games with four points and a +5 rating. Bouchard had 53 assists in the regular season and boasts 11, along with six goals, in the playoffs. We expect him to be in the middle of things again and cash your bet at BetUS Sportsbook.

Bet on Evan Bouchard 1+ Assists (-114)

Oilers vs Stars Moneyline Pick

Edmonton got off the mat after its Game 1 collapse and has had the upper hand through most of the last 12 periods. Dallas began to get more opportunities in the last two games, but inconsistent goalie Stuart Skinner has found his top form for the Oilers. The momentum is with Edmonton and it is our NHL picks to end it.

Bet on the Oilers ML (+110)

Oilers vs Stars Spread Pick

If they are giving you goals, you might as well take them with the Oilers. You won’t get very good odds, but Draisaitl, Connor McDavid, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Skinner and others are on a roll and they are a good NHL bet to punch their tickets to the Cup finals.

Bet on Oilers +1.5 Goals (-225)

Oilers vs Stars Over/Under Pick

Under bettors cashed in two of the last three games and should have swept, but Dallas surrendered three goals in the third period of Game 3 while pushing to try and get back in the contest. Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger was very good in Game 4 and should be ready for the Stars’ last stand. Expect a low-scoring contest.

Bet on Oilers vs Stars Under 6
