Predators vs Golden Knights Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds, Picks & Predictions
First-place Las Vegas Welcomes Nashville
The past month and a half has been nice for the Nashville Predators. The team has won eight of their last 10 outings, rewarding NHL betting handicappers handsomely.
The Predators were on a two-game losing streak earlier in the week before pulling out a dominant 6-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks to regain their momentum.

Meanwhile, the Vegas Golden Knights are equally as hot. They have won 10 of their last 13 games. However, their last outing was a 5-4 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Nashville Predators at Vegas Golden Knights
Predators Lead By Defense
Nashville has found success with a balanced effort. The Predators are ninth in the NHL when it comes to goals allowed per game, sitting at just 2.67, and are 14th in goals per game at 3.03.
The back end has been tight because of Juuse Saros. He is 16-9-1 with a .925 save percentage as their starting goalie. He’s eighth in the NHL in goals-against average at 2.24.
David Rittich has been awful as a backup, though. Although his record is 3-1-1, the save percentage of.884 is paltry.
Before betting this game, you’ll want to take a close look at who is between the pipes and make sure that it’s Saros. Otherwise, you might want to either fade the Preds or take the over if you bet online.
Knights Offense Red-Hot
Vegas’ offense is firing on all cylinders these days. While the Golden Knights sit in 18th place when it comes to goals allowed per game, they are fourth in goals scored.
They average 3.54 goals a night. This team has seven players above 20 points, with Chandler Stephenson leading the charge at 34.
Jonathan Marchessault leads the team in goals scored with 16. Whatever the Knights lack in defense, they make up for in power and efficiency on the other end.
It’s incredibly difficult to hold this group down. The last time they scored less than three goals in a game was on Nov. 27 in a 3-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers,. The Preds better have their offense going or Vegas will skate to a win.
Vegas Early Favorites
Health and safety protocols are yet again going to be a factor in how this game winds up shaking out. The Golden Knights have Brett Howden, Alex Pietrangelo and Evgenii Dadonov on the list.
Add them on top of their questionable players such as Max Pacioretty, Robin Lehner and Mark Stone and they are a far more depleted team.
Nashville has Thomas Novak and Dante Fabbro on the health and safety list, but that’s all. This game will be really close all the way through and without a doubt will end up being a solid scoring game considering how talented Vegas is offensively.
At the end of the day, Vegas still looks like the slightly better team – if the Knights get their key bodies back. For now, we can’t bank on that, so invest in the Preds as an underdog.
