Stanley Cup Final Game 5 Props
The Colorado Avalanche head back to Ball Arena with a 3-1 lead in the Stanley Cup Final. They’re one win away from hoisting the coveted trophy and, with home-ice advantage in Game 5, they’re the oddsmakers’ heavy betting online favorites to win.
Can the comeback kings deny the Avs what would now appear to be their rightful due? Certainly, the Tampa Bay Lightning must win Game 5 if they want to keep hope for a third straight title alive.
Below, we look at some of the NHL prop bets that are currently trading at the sportsbook exchange, highlighting those players that could prove key contributors on either side of the coin.
Nazim Kadri Anytime Goal +195
Nazim Kadri scored the game-winning goal in overtime, sealing the Colorado’s 3-2 victory at Amalie Arena on Wednesday and bringing the Avs to within a game of the Stanley Cup. Nazri was making his first appearance in the Final and he made his presence instantly felt. Thus, Kadri to score an anytime goal in Game 5 of this series at Ball Arena is worth the flutter for your NHL picks.

Steve Stamkos First Goal +1400
Steve Stamkos hasn’t been good enough in this series. He has two points from a goal and an assist in this series. Is it any wonder the Lightning are down 3-1 when their biggest stars have gone MIA?
If the Lightning hope to turn this series on its head, the team’s biggest offensive threats must show up on Friday, starting with captain Stamkos. This isn’t to suggest Stamkos hasn’t played well. He has been a menace on the ice, blocking shots and playing well defensively.
Stamkos had merely one shot on goal in Wednesday’s heartbreaking defeat at home. Clearly, that’s not going to cut it. There would be no better catalyst than the team’s leader scoring the first goal.
Ondrej Palat Over ½ Points -130
Ondrej Palat has 10 goals and nine assists in the playoffs. He has yet to score a goal in this series, but the Czech left-winger has two points in this series. Palat was thwarted in Game 4, but if he remains on the top line in Game 5 with Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov, he’s bound to get a chance to improve his tally.
Andrei Vasilevskiy Over 33½ saves -125
The Colorado Avalanche will be keen to get the job done at home on Friday night when they welcome the two-time defending champions to the Ball Arena for a third time in this series.
Tampa Bay netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy was besieged by the Avs on Wednesday night. He made 34 of 37 saves for a .919 save percentage.
In three of the four games played, Vasilevskiy faced 32-plus shots on goal. One has to expect that Colorado will put Vasilevskiy under constant pressure again and that he will be up for the challenge, as the NHL odds suggest.
Nathan MacKinnon Total Points Over ½ -250
Nathan MacKinnon finally made an impression in this series by scoring his first goal on Wednesday night. In 18 games this postseason, the star Colorado center has 12 goals and nine assists.

Before Wednesday, MacKinnon managed just two assists, both of which came on home ice. With this being potentially the last game of the series, MacKinnon is one of the players that could prove to be a hero.
