The Vegas Golden Knights took the first game of the Western Conference Final with the Dallas Stars and now look ahead to Game 2 on Sunday. With lots of goals and offense in Game 1, are we set to see more of the same in Game 2?
With so much back-and-forth action, you might opt for NHL live betting this game. However, it does look like there’s some good value with some player props on the board.
Roope Hintz Over Points/Shots
Betting that a player can register two points is always risky, especially if they’re going up against a tough opponent that doesn’t give up many goals. However, Roope Hintz has been one of the greatest playoff performers this year and it’s carried over into this series.
Those who bet online saw him register three points in the overtime loss in Game 1. He’s been able to score at least two points in six playoff games throughout the Stars run. He’s also picked up multiple points in five of his last 11 playoff games.
It’s a risk choice in the sportsbook. However, it feels like it’s worth the potential payoff for your NHL picks. Hintz is on fire right now.
Pick: Hintz Over Points
You can bet his points but that’s a riskier bet in the sportsbook. Over his shots should be safer. He’s had at least four shots in three straight games and seven of his last nine. That looks like a good option for your NHL picks.
Pick: Hintz Over Shots
Jason Robertson Anytime Goal-Scorer
It was mentioned ahead of Game 1 but Jason Robertson was their best offensive weapon in Dallas throughout the regular season. In the postseason, he had just two goals in total.
Everybody has been waiting on him to break out of his scoring slump at some point and he might have finally just done that. He knocked in a goal against the Golden Knights during Game 1, his first goal in the last eight games.
Maybe that will wake him up. This looks like it’s going to be a high-scoring series where the offensive stars are going to shine. Robertson is a good option to get on the board again and the NHL betting odds look good too.
Pick: Robertson Anytime Goal-Scorer
Mark Stone Anytime Goal-Scorer
There are a number of interesting Golden Knights bets on the board and one of them involves Mark Stone. This prop is for Stone to score at least one goal in Game 2, which is not a given but is definitely doable for him.
The only reason that this isn’t a surefire bet is because Vegas gets their offense from so many different players. It’s never a one-man show out on the ice. This postseason, five players have double digits in points throughout the postseason with five different players scoring over five goals each as well.
Offense comes from so many different players but Stone in particular can really get going. He’s second on the team in points with 13, trailing only Jack Eichel who has 14.
Stone scored a point in Game 1 and has done so in all but four playoff games this year out of the 12 he’s played. He’s worth a wager on the NHL odds to light the lamp and get a goal in Game 2. He’s always involved in the offense.
Pick: Stone Anytime Goal-Scorer
