There isn’t quite as much at stake when the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers get together compared to their previous meeting.

The Rangers were the Presidents Trophy winners while the Panthers were looking to make it to the Stanley Cup Final for the second season in a row when they met up in the Eastern Conference Final. Florida won in six games before the Panthers topped the Edmonton Oilers to win the NHL title.

The game features two of the top scorers in the NHL this season. Artemi Panarin has six goals and seven assists in six games for the Rangers (5-0-1) with his 2.17 points per game the most in the NHL. Sam Reinhart leads the Panthers (4-3-1) with five goals and seven assists.

Florida winger Matthew Tkachuk returned to the ice in Tuesday’s loss to Minnesota as he recorded an assist in the 5-1 defeat.

Winger Matthew Knies has seen his power play time jump from 38 seconds per game a season ago 2:09 through the first seven games this season. That ranks fifth among forwards for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
