Each Team Looking to Break the Tie

After the St. Louis Blues hopped out of the gates with a solid win in Game 1, the Minnesota Wild struck right back in Game 2. Now we’re all even after the Wild thrashed the St. Louis Blues 6-2.

To make it all even better, the Wild watched Kirill Kaprizov pick up a hat trick to lead the way. With the series now shifting over to St. Louis, will they be able to win Game 3 and regain the series lead?

Let’s take a closer look at the NHL game NHL game betting odds to see what’s the best option for those who bet online?

Let’s check the latest NHL lines, stats, injury reports, and NHL odds for Wild vs Blues. We’ve plenty of NHL picks and predictions.

Wild Finally Get On the Board

It took 70 long minutes of this series for the Wild to finally score a goal but once they did it was as if the floodgates opened right up. The offense was just completely humming from that point forward in Game 2.

As mentioned earlier, Kaprizov picked up a hat trick with three goals and Eriksson Ek scored two himself, barely missing a hat trick of his own.

With a win under their belt and some wind in their sails, Minnesota is looking to fly into Game 3 and reclaim the home-ice advantage. We’ll have to see if their offense can stay in a rhythm or will revert back to what we saw in Game 1.

Blues Aren’t Worried

While this recent loss wasn’t what they were hoping for, head coach Craig Berube didn’t sound worried at all about the series. He said, “You come here, get a split and go home. You’re satisfied with that.”

He also mentioned how the team acknowledges the length of the series and that it’s a battle they can’t lose sight of, however, they did lose their defenseman Robert Bortuzzo for the game after he was taken out with a head injury.

The absence makes them thin in the back end, though the hope is that it isn’t a serious injury. Keep an eye on the injury wire to see if he ends up playing before you make your NHL picks.

Wild vs Blues Head-to-Head

The Blues still hold the series lead for the season, beating the Wild in three out of their four matchups on the year. Game 1 of their playoff series was the lone aberration so far.

Wild vs Blues Prediction

The total for this upcoming matchup has been set to 6.5 in the sportsbook. While Game 2 was able to go over, Game 1 remained well under this mark. For Game 3, it is looking likely that the under is a good option once again.

We have seen each of these rosters completely dismantle the other in the first two games, but now with a new environment and a tied series, the game should be a lot tighter than before.

Marc Andre-Fleury seems to be hitting a rhythm in the net for Minnesota and Ville Husso went just under 70 minutes without allowing a goal in the series. Expect a lower-scoring, competitive, down-to-the-wire type of game.
