2023 Kentucky Oaks Odds Horse Racing
The Kentucky Oaks (G1) is an annual horse race open to 3-year-old Thoroughbred fillies. The Inaugural event took place in 1875 and was won by Vinaigrette with a time of 2:39:75.
The Kentucky Oaks serves as a lead-up to the annual Kentucky Derby and takes place the Friday before the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs. The race started as 1½ mile, but it currently covers 1⅛ miles. The current race record is 1:48:28, set by Shedaresthedevil in 2020.
Secret Oath took first place in the 2022 Kentucky Oaks with a time of 1:49:44. Owned by Briland Farm; Secret Oath, ridden by Luis Saez, was awarded $750,000 of the $1.25 million purse along with a silver Kentucky Oaks Trophy.
With the win, D. Wayne Lukas won his fifth Kentucky Oaks as a trainer and tied Woody Stephens for the all-time record. Nest and Desert Dawn crossed the line a half-length behind for second and third place, respectively.
