Casino Scandals Exposed! These Celebrities Got Banned for Life

Even Fame and Fortune Can’t Save These Celebs From the Casino Blacklist

From A-List to Blacklist

Sometimes, it feels like celebrities are above law and order. They can behave pretty recklessly or break the law, and it usually earns them a slap on the wrist at most. However, some celebs really push the envelope and ultimately receive a ban from certain casinos—either by counting cards, acting a fool or just playing too well. Let’s delve into the top five celebrities who made casino news headlines for getting banned.

Paris Hilton

First up, Paris Hilton. I’m not going to lie—at first, this one shocked me. But when you factor in that Paris is actually a skilled blackjack player (she once won $50,000 in a session in Atlantic City), it makes more sense. There are also celebrity rumors about her losing her Bentley after using it as collateral in a high-stakes poker game.

But her ban wasn’t actually due to anything gambling-related. She got caught by the police with cocaine at the Wynn Casino and received a lifetime ban in 2010. Thankfully, Hilton Hotels will always take her in.

Ben Affleck

Oh, sweet Ben Affleck. Don’t you know counting cards is a big no-no? Banning a star as big as Affleck likely takes serious consideration, given how great of a publicity boost it is to have him at your establishment. But Ben got a little too good at blackjack to be left in a betting casino without any scrutiny.

The star spilled some details back in 2014. When asked about the rumors, Ben said, “That is a true story.” He later added, “I wish I could say [the Hard Rock security members] were afraid of me in every capacity, but they only said, ‘No blackjack.’” Out of all the casino bans, this one might take the cake as far as celebrity scandals go.

Dana White

Thankfully for Dana White, online casinos exist because, apparently, no Las Vegas casino wants his business. Although he hasn’t been officially deemed a card counter, Dana White was winning a bit too often for casinos to believe it was just luck.

“The Palms has kicked me out of there twice, the Mirage, the Wynn will not let me play,” he told fans in a Q&A last year. Apparently, a bunch of casinos in Vegas slashed in half what he’s allowed to bet—which isn’t any fun for Dana who loves to bet big.

Colby Covington

In 2019, the UFC welterweight was banned from the Palms in Las Vegas. The day after Kamaru Usman’s dominant title win over Tyron Woodley at UFC 235. He and his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, got into a public altercation with Colby Covington at the Palms Casino buffet. The incident resulted in Covington being banned from the establishment.

That’s not the only drama he caused. He famously tracked down Dana White at a blackjack table and confronted him about not being chosen for a fight, to which Dana was heard saying, “Stop filming me, stop filming me.” Yikes.

Lil Wayne

That’s right—our boy Lil Wayne made the list. Back in 2010, right after he got out of jail, a rep for the Wynn Casino told TMZ that Lil Wayne would not be allowed on the property. If he tried to enter, he’d be removed.

Apparently, it was because, as part of Lil Wayne’s probation, he wasn’t supposed to drink for three years, and the casino didn’t want any trouble.
