You will be able to play for real money at this sparkling venue. The casino opened as a temporary facility at Fonner Park in December 2022. There will be nothing temporary about the Grand Island Casino once the ribbon is cut.
What Games Will the GI Casino Feature?
The Grand Island Casino will operate within state gambling regulations. So, what is allowed when it comes to attracting gamblers? There will be live table games, including blackjack, craps, roulette, Pai Gow, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Mississippi Stud.
There will also be Nebraska’s first poker room and 750 slot machines, with 650 located on the main floor and the rest in a designated smoking lounge.
Each #GIJackpot deserves its time to shine. 🤩 There must be some extra luck in the air here at #GrandIslandCasino because the jackpots are piling up! 😅 Congratulations to all the lucky winners 🤗 pic.twitter.com/eYFmZ3Yei3

Tourists are expected to flock to the legit gambling site, especially since it is brand new and that means it should gleam.
Fonner Park itself is a horse racing venue. It will have a 31-day meet that will be ongoing as the casino opens.
It will be intriguing to see how the casino impacts the handle and attendance at the racetrack. A lot of times when casinos open at racetracks – racinos – the horse racing community sees people gravitate away from the equine action toward the casino.
You can watch events at racetracks daily where there are no people on the apron at the tracks watching races with everyone playing casino games or choosing to wager at a sportsbook if it is available.
The Grand Island Casino will be the latest spot to share space with a track in some form. One difference here is the Fonner Park meet is 31 dates.
There are some improvements at the track to coincide with the opening of the casino. Fonner Park race fans who enter the grandstand via the north entrance will see a newly remodeled area to accommodate guests and serve as a portal into the resort hotel casino. The popular Fiesta Cantina food returns on weekends with a new, expanded seating area.
